Tile Coasters

Good morning!

I thought I would post something other than a card for you Sparkle N Sprinkle blog visitors today.  We can all use a change once in a while and I always think  it’s fun to see stamps used on different crafty projects.

The Asian Carp set (181) was used for these tile coasters that I’m showing off today.  Due to all the decorative elements that it contains,  I think this set has the perfect stamps for a project like this.  Lucky for you too, because it’s one of the sets that’s on special this month as well!  Grab it now and save 15%!

I used black Stazon (99704) ink for this project, because it is specifically made to work on a surface such as this.  All I had to do was take my chalk pastels, and using a q-tip, color in where I wanted there to be color on my image.   Some people bake their tiles in an oven for awhile, but I just use a light coating of spray adhesive to seal mine.

Now the above tile was purchased at my local home improvement store, it’s rustic and uneven, which I happen to like.  This next tile was ordered from a local flooring company, and it’s much more smooth in it’s texture.  Neither one is better, it’s just personal preference.

Why not make these for the holidays?   I think they make a wonderful hostess gift anytime of year.

Thanks for peeking in today!
