General Techniques
Glittered Ribbon by Marie Berquist

To create custom sparkly ribbon, I came up with a fun technique.Â
Select the appropriate sized width of  Tear-ific Tape.Â

Pull off one side of the tape's protective cover, and burnish the exposed tape with glitter. Use one color, or several.
Shake or brush off excess.

Peel off the tape's other protective layer to add glitter to the other side. I used this to create the hanging ribbon and then tied a piece into a bow for the top of the ornament. It worked great, but you do have to pull gently because it is “Tearâ€-ific tape.

Another technique is to adhere Tear-ific Tape or Red-line tape directly to ribbon by pulling off one of the tape's protective layers. Adhere to ribbon and card. Peel off the remaining protective cover and burnish with glitter, flocking or embossing powder (and heat set). Brush off excess. In this way, ribbons can be custom designed to match a scrapbook page or card project.
