It’s Designer Jess here with a fun Christmas Card!
This time, I’m featuring the Digital Stamp Set – Grumpy Goose!
Jasper Blue Glitter – GM2012
This was actually quite an easy card to create! I started by printing off the colored Digital Image onto glossy white cardstock and trimming to my desired size. I used the Small Glue Pen to add Jasper Blue & Blue Haze Glitter to his hat, Daisy Glitter to his beak, Tiger Orange Glitter to his feet and Evening Glow Glitter to the bells. So much fun!
I used the Glue Pen to draw the “light strand” around Mr. Grumpy Goose, sprinkled on Antiquities Embossing Powder and heat set. Then I went to work creating the lights! I used the Nuvo Crystal Drops in Apple Green, Ruby Slippers and Dazzling Blue to make the lights (just squeezing a small amount out each time). I love the effect! I added a few to “frame” the image as well as on the sentiment and set them aside to dry.
While the Crystal Drops were drying, I created by background. I adhered 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape around the edge of my cardbase, removed the adhesive and sprinkled on Fire Engine Red Glitter. I burnished it well with my finger tool.
I took the piece of Gold Mirror Cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot, using a Diamond Patterned Embossing Folder. Once all the Crystal Drops were dry, I adhered all the layers using 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape. To finish off the sentiment, I traced the word “naughty” using the Small Glue Pen and sprinkled on Fire Engine Red Glitter.
I sure had fun making this card! See you next time! 🙂
Here is my full supply list (you can click on each product to find it in the Shop):
Phew! Now that the list is out of the way, onto the card itself!
First I started by making my background. I took the sentiment stamp from “The Christmas Skate” stamp set and randomly stamped it across my paper using Versamark Ink. Then, I sprinkled on the Mojito Marbled Embossing Powder and heat set, making my own patterned paper background! I set that aside and sent to work on my coloring. I stamped the skate image using Versamark and used Black Detail Embossing Powder to create my outline. I took my TwinTouch markers and colored in the image (I like to use the Stamp Card as a guide to help me with my coloring! 😉 ). ONce I was done, I die cut out the entire image using a large oval. I added some Reflection Velvet Glitter to the skate blades using my Quicky Glue Pen as my adhesive. The Glue Pen is always an essential product to have on hand!
To make the glitter background piece, I took a piece of Sticker Paper and die cut out a large Label Frame. I removed the protective backing and sprinkled on the Victorian Christmas Glitter, burnishing well with my finger tool! I mostly did the edges as I knew the middle would be covered by the skate image and I don’t want to waste my beautiful glitter!
Once my glitter was well burnish, I took a few strips of 1/4″ Tear-ific Tape and attached the colored skate image to the glittered background sticker paper and then again to the background. I tied 2 pieces of the MonAmiGabby Pull Ribbon around the card panel and made the gorgeous bow. I just love pull ribbon, don’t you?
The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of white cardstock using Versamark Ink and embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder. I die cut it out using a smaller oval and then gently rolled the edges into my Versamark Pad. I sprinkled on Moss Star Embossing Powder and heat set. I popped up the sentiment using Foam Squares and then attached the entire card panel to my base using Tear-ific Tape.
To finish the card, I used my Ruby Slippers Nuvo drops to create “brads” in the corners and I created a holly leaf & berries next to the sentiment using Woodland Green Crystal Drops & Ruby Slippers Glitter Drops.
I hope you are inspired to get a start on your Christmas Cards now – I sure am!
Until next time,
The image was stamped and colored using copic markers. Dots of White Crystal Drops, Caribbean Ocean Crystal Drops , Ruby Red Glitter Drops and Dandelion Yellow Crystal Drops were used on the deer and present. Reflection and Celestial glitter added to the packages using a glue pen. The Christmas lights were die cut using the Holiday House die set from sticker paper and glittered using Fire Engine Red, Champagne and Parisian Mist glitter.
The Christmas tree was die cut using Sizzix’s Christmas Tree #2, and decorated using Crystal Drops Violet Galaxy, Crystal Drops Silver Lining, Crystal Drops Copper Penny, Crystal Drops Autumn Red, White Crystal Drops, Crystal Drops Dandelion Yellow and Crystal Drops Caribbean Ocean. The small packages were die cut using the Evergreen Pivot die.
The banner and sentiment was created using the digi version of the stamp set. I enlarged the images and cut them out. The banner was glittered using Fire Engine Red, Margarita glitter and a glue pen. Small drops of Ruby Red Glitter Drops were added to the bottom with a small drop of Crystal Drop White to the center.
Thanks so much for stopping by, have a wonderful day!
Hi! It’s Eret here. It’s very refreshing to make winter cards on hot summer days. For this card I used new Milton Catching Snowflakes #787 Digital stamp.
Sentiment is also from same digital set. It’s sized to fit the Spellbinders Labels Eighteen die cut. I inked it’s edges with Broken China Distress Ink.
To make the snowflakes I used MemoryBox Twilight Snowflakes dies. Snowflakes are die cut out from Sticker Paper. Some of them are covered with Sonic Silver and Cloud Nine microfine glitters. I also added a big dot of Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops to their centers.
I added some sparkle to the background paper with Sakura Glue Pen and Cloud Nine glitter. Snowflake border is die cutted with Joy Crafts die out of Sticker Paper and it’s covered also with Cloud Nine glitter.

Hi! It’s Eret here. Winter is approaching rapidly. Before you notice, it’s time to send the Christmas cards. I made a Winter card in blue tones.
Image and sentiment are from Sleigh Ride stamp set #744. Both are stamped with Versamark ink. Image is heat embossed with Black Magic and sentiment with Satin Velvet embossing powders. It is die cut by using Star die from Marianne Design. I inked the background with Memento Summer Sky ink while it was still in the die. I used Sakura Glue Pen to draw a frame around the inked star and added Bridal glitter on top.
I covered sleigh and the horse with Dimensional Glue to give them a raised glossy look.
For the decorative matting layer I used Sticker Paper and die from same Star set. Sticker Paper is covered with Blue Raven glitter.
Flourishes are die cut out of Sticker Paper. I used MemoryBox Flowering Christmas Tree die. Tree was covered with Blue Raven glitter and cut in pieces. Little embellishments was cut from Mon Ami Gabby Silver Diamond Mesh.
Snowflake border is also die cut out of Sticker Paper. I used die from Joy Crafts – Border with Ice Crystals. It is covered with Bridal glitter.
Dots on the background paper are covered with Brushable Glue and Bridal glitter.

Glitters: Blue Raven (G1024), Bridal (G1029);

Dies: Joy Crafts (Border with Ice Crystals), Marianne design (Stars), MemoryBox (Flowering Christmas Tree);
Embellishments: Mon Ami Gabby (Diamond Mesh – Silver);
Cardstock: White, Pattern Paper (Joy Crafts – Winter Paper Block), Black;
Hugs & smiles,
For the focal point I combined both digi images and printed it to the smooth white cardstock. Image is colored with alcohol base markers. I added Crystal Ice Glitter with Sakura Glue Pen to the tree branches and light bulbs. Edges of the matting layer are covered with 1/2″ Double Sided “Tear-ific” Tape. After adhering image layer in center of it I added Laser Blue Glitter rest of the revealed tape.
For the background I added sentiment from Christmas Goose to the Tree Scene digi image and printed them to the watercolor cardstock. I used Distress Ink pads for coloring. I also added Crystal Ice Glitter with Sakura Glue Pen to the tree branches and the stars.
For the fun red-blue-white edge I adhered 1/2″ Double Sided “Tear-ific” Tape to the edges of the white cardstock and used x-acto knife to cut the protective sheet of the tape. This way I could add different glitters where I wanted. I used Bridal, Fire Engine Red, Laser Blue glitters.
Because the background edge looks like an old envelope I couldn’t resist not to used Spellbinders Postage Stamps die behind the Christmas Goose image.

Hugs & smiles,
I started out by heat embossing the Tree Scene in White Detail embossing powder onto my white cardstock and then colored the background with Distress Inks (Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire). I cut away the snow banks and adhered a piece of white cardstock covered with 2 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape and Cloud Nine Velvet glitter behind it to create my snow covered hills. After the star was heat embossed, it was covered with Dimensional glue and Sunny Daze glitter was added. The smaller stars in the image were colored with a Copic marker.
I also heat embossed a piece of Embossable Clear Acetate with White Detail embossing powder and fussy cut out the trees and the snow covered banks. Next I stamped my sentiment with Silver Detail embossing powder and then colored it with a blue Copic marker for a silvery-blue effect.
For the snow capped trees, I added Dimensional glue to the snowy areas on the acetate and covered them with Bridal glitter. Once this was dry, I adhered the acetate on top of the card base. This added a bit of shimmer and a little more dimension to the card base. I also die cut the Memory Box die (Frosty Border) from a piece of white cardstock covered with 2 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape and Cloud Nine Velvet glitter. Flat backed pearls were added to the snowflake centers.
Hi Everyone! It is April again showing you a card I made with the new release stamp set, Finn’s Scarf 671. Finn is so cute with his warm scarf! He sure needs it on a frosty day!
I made the background for this card using an embossing folder. I brayered onto the raised areas of the folder with Versa Mark ink, placed blue card stock on the areas, brayered over the cardstock and then added Belgian Cream embossing powder EP436 to it. This piece was layered onto a white piece edged with Tear-ific Tape and then Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft SS107 was added to the adhesive edges.
I used the Spellbinders Build a Snowflake dies for a fun border. I patted the snowflakes with Versa Mark ink and added Sparkle embossing powder EP107 to them.
I used Dimensional Glue to make the red centers on the snowflakes and added Gypsy Red velvet glitter GM2005 to them and to Finn’s scarf. To see full instructions on how to make this card, please click here. This is such a fun set to use for Christmas or Winter.
Have a wonderful and blessed day!
You don’t need much to make a stunning card with it. As you can see, I didn’t used any embellishments, just two embossing powders and two glitters.
Icicles are colored with Versamarker pen and heat embossed with Sparkle EP. I love this faux ice look you can achieve with this embossing powder. All the snow on the ground is covered with Sakura Glue Pen and Crystal Ice Glitter. It would much quicker to use SNS Brushable Glue but I always forget to wash the Brush after use.
Snowcaps on the trees and on the rocks are covered with SNS Dimensional Glue and Crystal Ice Glitter. I drew some lines to the water with Sakura Glue Pen and covered them with Waterfall Glitter.
Card base is cut with Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles dies. I inked the card front with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Blue Silver EP. I adore this EP. It’s so pretty and sparkly.
A little tip for you: Don’t cover center of the card front with EP. You can save the EP this way… OK, the real reason is that foam tape will adhere better to the plain cardstock then it adheres to the melted embossing powder.
Inside of the card is made out of two die cut layers. They are adhered together with 1/2″ Double Sided “Tear-ific” Tape. I placed the tape in the way that it shows through the holes. Revealed tape is covered with Crystal Ice Glitter.
You can make most out of your dies by using them as a template, like I did on this card. I placed the die on top of the stamped image, traced the inner frame to the cardstock and cut it out with the scissors. Then I used the same die to die cut a matting layer for the image.
