Here is a card in bright Summer colors to light up those long and dark winter nights. I used brand new Rustic Flower – Snapdragons 816 stamp set.
On the focal image I did some paper piecing. First I covered piece of white cardstock with Large Nuvo Glue Pen. While it was drying I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink to another piece of white cardstock. I colored flowers with Promarkers and added some Margarita Velvet Glitter with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen to some leaves. Then I returned back to the first piece of cardstock. On top of the sticky glue (Nuvo Glue Pen dries sticky) I added Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. After excess flakes was rubbed away, I stamped the can part of the image with JetBlack StazOn ink on top. This was fussy cut out and glued to the colored image.
Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Coffee Embossing Powder. For the background I used white cardstock which was inked with Dandelion Memento and Spun Sugar Distress inks.
I used dies from Creative Expressions Trellis Edger set to add some interest to the background. Inked background is popped up with foam tape. Layer underneath is covered with 3/4″ Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. I made a glittered ribbon with 1/4″ Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Daisy Velvet Glitter. Here is a tutorial how to make this kind of pretty ribbons.
To finish off the lattice I added some White Nuvo Crystal Drops to middle of each cross point.
This is it – my bright summer card.

Thank you for the visit,
Stamping is done with StazOn Black Jet ink. After the scene was created I took bunch of Distress Inks and started to add colors. For the sky I used Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral, Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean. Actually water is also colored with same inks but main color was Salty Ocean while for the sky it was Seedless Preserves.
I didn’t want to add any embellishment on this card. I just stamped the sentiment with Versamark in and heat embossed it with Gold Detail embossing powder. Matting layer is also inked with Versamark in and heat embossed with same powder to match the sentiment.

Hi, Diane with you today with a very fun technique to share with you.
I am going to show you how to do a quick ‘stained glass’ Rose.
One of the new June stamp sets is “Roses”, a perfect set for this technique!
Start by stamping the rose on a piece of embossable plastic with a
and it worked, though I had to let it dry for quite a while so as not to smear.
Pour out a small drop, maybe nickel size of Diamond Glaze or Crystal Effects
on your craft mat. Add a few drops of a ‘dye’ re-inker in the color you want you rose
and mix in.
Flip your rose over to the back side and start coloring it in with a paint brush.
Let dry completely (it dries very quickly, but be patient), then do the same with a green for your leaves.
I used Distress ink refills raspberry for the rose and
peeled paint for the leaves. Let completely dry again.
Once dry, pour another drop of the glaze on your mat and once again add to the back of your rose, this time do not add any color.
While still wet, add your choice of glitter to the back. I used Cloud Nine glitter and it seemed to be the perfect choice. Set aside to dry again.
While the rose is drying find a die that will make a ‘window’ over the rose and die cut
on your card front.
You will be using the ‘negative’ part of the die. I embossed this using a vine
This is such a pretty embossing powder, all sparkle-y and glittery !
Place your Rose behind the negative cut out using Tear-ific Tape 1/4″, Then adhere
to a card base. Add your bow and your sentiment.
This is really an easy technique, it is just being patient to let it dry in-between.
Thank you for visiting with me today
Anne here and today I’m sharing one of the new stamp sets revealed this month, Secret Garden. I started out by stamping the image and sentiment onto watercolor paper using Jet Black StazOn ink. Then I used Nuance powders to watercolor the image. Silver Sonic velvet glitter was added to the lock and key and Sparkling Snow glitter was added to the flower centers.
The background was created by dry embossing a piece of white cardstock with a Sue Wilson Designs embossing folder (Climbing Vines). Next I covered the surface with VersaMark, then White Spark embossing powder, and heat set it. The ivy vines are die cuts from the Sue Wilson Designs Trailing Ivy die set.
I inked the white cardstock with Broken China and Salty Ocean Distress Inks and Summer Sky Memento ink. Then I applied Versamark ink on top and covered it with Velvet Sparkle EP. After melting the powder with heat tool, I stamped the grass with StazOn Jet Black ink. It is die cut with oval die. I matted it on top of the larger oval which was stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Satin Velvet EP.
All the seashells are stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Satin Velvet EP. I colored images with Promarkers, covered them with Versmark ink and heat embossed with Opaline EP to make them shiny. They are fussy cut with scissors. Some of the shells are adhered with foam tape and others are glued right to the background.
For the embellishments I used some twine and Mon Ami Gabby large and small Pearl Mesh cut in parts. Label shape under neath the oval is die cut out of white cardstock Which was covered with 2 1/2″ Double Sided “Tear-ific Tape” and Terrific Blue glitter.
Background is covered with 2 1/2″ Double Sided “Tear-ific Tape”. I used x-acto knife to cut the protective sheet of the tape in parts. Then I started to “paint” the scene with glitters: Terrific Blue to the frame, Florida Beach to the sand, Waterfall to the sea and Cloud Nine to the sky.
Ocean Treasures #560;
Glitters: Terrific Blue (G1127), Florida Beach (G1111), Waterfall (G1071), Cloud Nine (GM2000);
Embossing Powders: Velvet Sparkle (EP437), Satin Velvet (EP209), Opaline (EP359);
Inks: Distress Ink (Broken China, Salty Ocean), Memento (Summer Sky), Versamark, StazOn (Jet Black);
Coloring Medium: Promarkers;
Adhesives: 2 1/2″ Double Sided “Tear-ific Tape” (SAT11), Foam Tape;
Dies: Spellbinders (Classic Oval Large, Labels Thirty-Six);
Embellishments: Mon Ami Gabby (Pearl Mesh large, Pearl Mesh small), Twine;
Thank you for the visit!
Hugs & smiles,
I wanted to reflect on the simple part of this sentiment. So to keep my card sort of simple, I stamped the image with StazOn Jet Black onto vellum and set it aside to dry.
Then I used a mini brick stencil from The Crafter’s Workshop + Dreamweaver white embossing paste to create a brick background. Once the embossing paste dried, I used three Tim Holtz distress inks to color blend the brick background in shades from pink to yellow. I adhered the stamped vellum image over the top of the inked brick background.
Next I added 1/2″ Tear-ific tape (SAT04) around the edges of my vellum piece and sprinkled it with Sunset opaque glitter (G1040). Finally I adhered my vellum piece to a pink cardstock base and then used the same color of cardstock to stamp my sentiment. I used Black Detail (EP171) embossing powder for the sentiment.
Hi everyone! It’s Anita here today and it is my turn to share a project with you using fabulous Sparkle N Sprinkle products!
I have a layout today that I created using some very young photos of DD2 and some very pretty stamps!
I used the vine to create a border above and below my cut papers- a subtle but effective way to add detail.
I stamped my tags with Crystal Medallion and heat embossed with Lilac Spark EP. I added some Memories Mist in Bright Gold to bring out the embossing. I used Super Adhesive Sheets and Spellbinder’s dies to cut the frames behind the photos, then burnished them with Dogwood Rose GL- LOVE this color!!
I stamped the mushrooms and fairie from Garden Fairies multiple times, colored and cut out. I layered them over and under my chipboard piece using pop dots on some for more dimension. I used Pear EP on the chipboard piece.
