Festive Latern

I had lots of fun making a Christmas card with new Sparkle N Sprinkle Festive Lantern Stamp set #808 and Nuvo Gilding Flakes.

Festive Latern

Lantern Festive Lantern set is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink to the white cardstock. I colored it with Promarkers. To the metal part of the lantern I added glue with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen. After glue was dry I covered it with Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes.  I also added some shading with Gold and Copper Gel pens. After die cutting it with Oval die I covered glass part of the lantern with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops. Edge of the Oval is covered with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Gypsy Red glitter.

Festive Latern

Flowers are from same Festive Lantern stamp set. I stamped them six times with Tuxedo Black Memento ink to the white cardstock. They are colored with Promarkers and fussy cut with scissors. I added some glue with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen to flower centers. After glue was dry I covered them with Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. Middle flowers are popped up with foam tape.

Festive Latern

To make a background I just took an old pattern paper, added glue with Large Nuvo Glue Pen to the Crackle Background stamp and stamped it to the paper. I cleaned the stamp right away and let the glue dry on the paper. Then I took Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes again and placed it on top of the stamped pattern.

Festive Latern

Matting layer and die cut label shape behind the oval are covered with Large Nuvo Glue Pen and Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. It is important to let the glue dry before adding gilding flakes. Nuvo glue is drying tacky, so it’s perfect for gilding flakes.  Some White Nuvo Crystal Drops was also added in to corner of my card.

IMG_9919 IMG_9920 IMG_9921

First I started by making my background. I took the sentiment stamp from “The Christmas Skate” stamp set and randomly stamped it across my paper using Versamark Ink.  Then, I sprinkled on the Mojito Marbled Embossing Powder and heat set, making my own patterned paper background!  I set that aside and sent to work on my coloring.  I stamped the skate image using Versamark and used Black Detail Embossing Powder to create my outline.  I took my TwinTouch markers and colored in the image (I like to use the Stamp Card as a guide to help me with my coloring! 😉 ). ONce I was done, I die cut out the entire image using a large oval.  I added some Reflection Velvet Glitter to the skate blades using my Quicky Glue Pen as my adhesive.  The Glue Pen is always an essential product to have on hand!

IMG_9923 IMG_9922

To make the glitter background piece, I took a piece of Sticker Paper and die cut out a large Label Frame.  I removed the protective backing and sprinkled on the Victorian Christmas Glitter, burnishing well with my finger tool!  I mostly did the edges as I knew the middle would be covered by the skate image and I don’t want to waste my beautiful glitter!

IMG_9932 IMG_9933

Once my glitter was well burnish, I took a few strips of 1/4″ Tear-ific Tape and attached the colored skate image to the glittered background sticker paper and then again to the background.  I tied 2 pieces of the MonAmiGabby Pull Ribbon around the card panel and made the gorgeous bow. I just love pull ribbon, don’t you?

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of white cardstock using Versamark Ink and embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder.  I die cut it out using a smaller oval and then gently rolled the edges into my Versamark Pad.  I sprinkled on Moss Star Embossing Powder and heat set. I popped up the sentiment using Foam Squares and then attached the entire card panel to my base using Tear-ific Tape.

IMG_9924

To finish the card, I used my Ruby Slippers Nuvo drops to create “brads” in the corners and I created a holly leaf & berries next to the sentiment using Woodland Green Crystal Drops & Ruby Slippers Glitter Drops.

I hope you are inspired to get a start on your Christmas Cards now – I sure am!

The Simple Wild Rose

WildRoses2

A rose is one of my favorite flowers and since I am in Omaha right now, visiting with my mother, I am really enjoying all her roses.  She has so many bushes and even climbing roses.  She also has some lovely pink wild roses.  There is something about their delicate look that is so appealing.  I tried to tie that into today’s card featuring the Wild Rose set and simple white layers with elegant lines.

WildRoses-Border

I started with a white layer with the right side punched by a border punch.  A piece of sticker paper was layered behind it and Ballerina Velvet Glitter was added.  This was layered on the white card base.

WildRoses-CU

The Wild Rose image was stamped with Jet Black StazOn ink on watercolor paper and colored with Zig Watercolor Markers.  The sentiment was stamped beneath the image and this was die cut with a Spellbinders’ Labels Seventeen Etched Die and layered on top of a slightly larger white die cut and added to the card front.  Dots of Sunny Daze Glitter was added to the flower centers, using a glue pen.

Along with this lovely floral image, this set comes with four sentiments making it great to use for a variety of occasions.

Celebrate

Hi! It’s Eret here. Today I want to share a simple circle step card.

Celebrate

I used Wild Rose stamp set #785 as a focal image. It is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with alcohol base markers.  Image is cut out with Spellbinders circle die. Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Mulberry Embossing Powder. I draw all around the letters with White Gel Pen to make the sentiment pop out a bit better.
Matting layer is cut out from Sticker Paper with Tonic Trellis Circles die. I also trimmed it with scissors to make it into the shape I wanted. Sticker Paper is covered with Orchid Rose Glitter.

Celebrate

Little butterflies are die cut with Mini Dimensional Butterflies dies by Cheery Lynn Designs. Te are cut out from Sticker Paper and covered with Daisy Glitter. To the center of butterflies I added White Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Celebrate

Card base and green pattern paper are die cut with Trellis Circles dies by Tonic. I smudged Versamark ink randomly over pattern paper, added Sparkle EP on top and heat embossed. After card base was scored  and folded I cut the pattern paper in pieces and adhered to the base layer.

Celebrate

To embellish my card I used Diamond Mesh by Mon Ami Gabby and pieces of pearls from Couture Swirls set by Want 2 Scrap.

Cardinal

Hi! It’s Eret here to share a Christmas card with you.

A Winter Cardinal

This beautiful bird is from A Winter Cardinal Stamp Set #518. It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink to the white cardstock. I colored it with Promarkers. To the pine needles I added Meadow Spark glitter with Sakura Glue Pen. His beak, eye and claws are covered with Dimensional Glue. It will dry clear and it keeps the dimension.

A Winter Cardinal

Frame around the bird is a Want 2 Scrap chipboard from Vintage Fancy Frames set. I inked it with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Super Thick Gold Embossing Powder. After first layer of EP was melted I added another coat of ink and EP, and melted the powder again.

A Winter Cardinal

I colored piece of white cardstock with Jade Nuance water-soluble powder and die cut two branches with a die from Creative Expressions Holly Sprays set. I added bit more color to them with Pine Needles and Peeled Paint Distress Inks. I colored berries with red marker and added Dimensional Glue on top.

A Winter Cardinal

To make the illusion that Holly sprays are tied together I added a bow on top of their meeting point. It’s made with Mon Ami Gabby Iridescent/Gold 1/8″ Pull Ribbon.

A Winter Cardinal

Background layer is very simple – I just covered Sticker Paper with Celestial glitter. Leftover glittered Sticker Paper was used to decorate the inside of the card.

Bee Mine

Hi! It’s Eret here. We had three fabulous stamp sets revealed on early this month, but Honey Bees #775 is my favorite. Probably because this stamp set reminds a summer. I love summer.
I decided to make a shaped card this time.

Bee Mine

I used Digital Version of the Honey Bees stamp set. I draw hexagon frame around the image and printed it to the white cardstock. It’s colored with Promarkers and it’s fuzzy cut around bottom of the flowers and hexagon frame. Sky is inked with Broken China Distress ink. I also printed another copy of flowers, colored them and fuzzy cut three center flowers. They are popped up with foam tape on top of the base image. I added Dimensional Glue to every flower centers and covered it with Canary Flocking.

Bee Mine

I love digtal stamps. It’s very easy to manipulate them. That’s what I did with the sentiment. I separated it on two and resized them to fit the MemoryBox Precious Hearts die cuts. Words was printed to the white cardstock and die cutted. I colored hearts with markers and added coat of Dimensional Glue on top. Yellow pearl in center of bows is actually white pearl cut from Want 2 Scrap Sleek Strips Pearls. I colored it yellow with marker.

Bee Mine

To make the yellow background I inked white cardstock with Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber Distress inks. Then I used MemoryBox Honey Comb Stencil and rubber mat with die cutting machine to dry-emboss honeycomb pattern to the cardstock. I applied light touches of Versamark ink the the cardstock and covered it with Sparkle Embossing Powder. It was heat set with heat tool.

Bee Mine

I played with digis from the set to make inside of the card. After printing it out, I inked it slightly with Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber Distress inks. Bees was colored with markers.

Bee Mine

All matting layers was cat from white cardstock. I used black marker to color the sides and adhered 1/4″ Double Sided “Tear-ific” Tape to the edges. After adhering layers on top I covered rest of the tape with Black Suede Microfine Glitter.

Bee Mine

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Honey Bees #775 Digital Version;
Glitters: Black Suede (GM2009);
Embossing Powders: Sparkle (EP107);
Flocking: Canary (FL108);
Inks: Distress Ink (Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber, Broken China), Versamark;
Coloring Medium: Promarkers;

Butterfly

Butterfly - SNS

Anne here and today’s card uses a couple of the new stamp sets released this month plus the new Dreamweaver butterfly stencil duoDonna’s Stylin Sayings stamp set was used to create the background and the sentiment is from the Lucky Charm stamp set.

To start out, I used a pen to outline the butterfly stencil and then filled in the areas on the wings with the second stencil. If you like Zentangle, or would like to try it, this would be a great way to get your feet wet. Once everything was filled in, I used Copic markers to color the wings.  Nuvo Crystal Drops and Nuvo Glitter Drops were used throughout project, including outlining the butterfly as well as filling in some of the circles inside the butterfly wings. Sparkling Snow glitter was also added to various areas on the Butterfly1 - SNSwings. Once everything was dry, I fussy cut out the butterfly and began working on the background.

I started out with white cardstock and then stamped the brush stroke from the Donna’s Stylin’ Sayings set with Memento Ink (Dandelion and Tangelo) in various directions. Then I began adding embossing powder…..lots of embossing powder :-). I sprinkled on Super Thick Silver and Super Thick White on opposite corners and then heat set it from the bottom. Once it was mostly melted, I heat set it from the top to make sure everything was melted. These Super Thick embossing powders add lots of texture to any project and I love how you can layer them all together. Once this was complete, I gently folded the wings of the butterfly so that I could pop dot them on the card for added dimension.

The sentiment was stamped onto Embossable Clear Acetate using Outer Space embossing powder. Outer Space is a fun color. It’s not quite black, but it’s not exactly dark blue either and it has lots of shimmer. Then I die cut it using a Die-Versions die (Nesting Flowers). I wanted the background to show through the sentiment, but I didn’t want it to get lost either. So I die cut a frame using the same set and heat embossed it with Clear embossing powder for a shiny look.

The focal panel was then adhered to a piece of cardstock dry embossed using the Daisy Tiers embossing folder by Sue Wilson Designs. This was then die cut using the largest Noble dies-Ornate Pierced Rectangles die by Sue Wilson Designs. I wanted the card base to be slightly larger, so I used the largest die, traced around it onto white cardstock and then cut it with a paper trimmer. To get the dots along the outside edge, I dry embossed it with the same die. A bit of rick rack ribbon is the finishing touch for this card.

Mixed Media Frame

Hi! It’s designer Eret here with a mixed media project. I played with Want 2 Scrap chipboard, SNS glitters and embossing powders and with other fun products.

Mixed Media Frame

I’ll start with Want 2 Scrap Dress Form by Laurel Lane. It’s huge. It’s perfect for Scrapbook layout but not so good for a card maker. I hope I’ll remember  to check the measurements before ordering supplies next time. But I’m happy I made this mistake. Otherwise this mixed media project wouldn’t born 🙂
This Dress Form comes in two pieces: silhouette and intricate dress. I painted both of them with white Gesso and let them dry. Silhouette layer was covered with  Brushable Glue and Bubble Gum Glitter. Intricate layer was inked with Versamark ink. To the dress part I added White Detail Embossing Powder and to the leg Silver Detail EP. I applied two coats of EP for a better coverage. To decorate the dress I stamped feathers from Bird Song stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with markers. The ribbon was covered with Sakura Glue Pen and Bubble Gum Glitter. I also added Want 2 Scrap white pearls to the belt.

Mixed Media Frame

For the background I used left over piece from Want 2 Scrap Vintage Fancy Frames. I painted the Chipboard with white Gesso and let it dry. I added brick pattern with Want 2 Scrap Brick Stencil and Dreamweaver White Embossing Paste. Stenciling was left uneven. I also added brick pattern to the watercolor cardstock in same way. Embossing paste was added to some places with stiff brush. Everything was colored with  Gray Nuance water-soluble powder and Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist (Carribbean Blue and Crushed Shells). Watercolor cardstock was added behind the Chipboard layer holes.

Mixed Media Frame

One chipboard frame was used on this project. I covered it with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Silver Detail EP. I added another layer ink and EP for smoother look. While EP was still warm I added Velvet Sparkle EP on top and melted it with heat tool.
Sentiment is from Bird Song  set. It was stamped with Versamark ink to the white cardstock and heat embossed with Silver Detail EP. I inked the layer with Salty Ocean Distress ink. Birds are die cut out of black cardstock with Spellbinders die: Birds on Wire.  Layer underneath is inked with Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Detail EP and then with Velvet Sparkle EP. Frame is popped up with foam tape.

Mixed Media Frame

To add some greenery I used leaves I had left from another project. They were die cut with Spellbinders Sprigs die out of Sticker Paper and covered with Luau Green Microfine Glitter. Flowers are die cut with Spellbinders Hydrangea die out of white cardstock which was previously colored with marker to light purple. I cut some small white pearls from Want 2 Scrap Sleek Strips Pearls and adhered them to flowers centers.

Mixed Media Frame

One frame hole was covered from the back side with Embossable Clear Acetate. You can place a photo behind it. I printed out a  Digital version of Lucky Charm stamp and colored it with markers. For the ribbon I added Bubble Gum Glitter with Sakura Glue Pen.

Mixed Media Frame

On following photo you can see how the frame stand. Edges are covered with white satin ribbon. Only the place where the picture is entered is left as it is.

Mixed Media Frame

It was messy, time consuming and very fun project to make. I hope you like it.

Cherries and Bird

Merry Christmas! It’s Eret here. I’ve always said that then Christmas are over, snow can go and make room for spring. But since we didn’t had any snow in Estonia at this Christmas, lets start with spring immediately.

Cherries and Bird

To make the background I used Glittered Lacy Background technique with Waterfall and Cloud Nine glitters.Glitters are adhered to Sticker Paper.
Cherries and Bird

On top of the glittered background I used Dreamweaver Cherry Blossom Stencil and White Embossing Paste. Paste is mixed with pink with Nuance Red watercolor powder. I applied colored paste through the stencil and let it dry. Branches and leaves are colored with Promarkers. I also added dots of Dimensional Glue to the center of each blossom and covered it with Sunny Daze glitter.
Cherries and Bird

Chipboard Bird is from Want2Scrap. I inked it with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Cerulean Star and Electric Blue Embossing Powders. I also added some Magic Speckle EP on top. I placed the bird to the branch which was die cut out of brown cardstock with Spellbinders Cherry Blossoms die.
Cherries and Bird

White frame is cut from textured cardstock and it’s popped up with foam tape. To pop up the bird, I used Pop Up Dots from Glue Dots.

Birthday Queen

Hey! It’s designer Eret here. I love shaker cards, specially for birthdays. Girl from new Birthday Queen stamp set # 759 looks very whimsical. It’s perfect for fun shaker card.

I used Flourishes 1 stamp set #516 to stamp the background with Versamark ink. Flourishes are heat embossed with Opaline Embossing Powder. It is the clear EP with sudle shimmer – Love it! Background layer is inked with distress inks – Milled Lavender and Seedless Preserves.

Birthday Queen
Image is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with alcohol base markers. I colored the hearts on her dress and her crown base with Sakura Glue Pen and covered with Galaxy Night glitter. Her shoes, hearts on the cupcake, wand and big hearts on her crown are covered with Dimensional Glue. This glue dries clear, shiny and dimensional.
Birthday Queen
For the shaker I used MemoryBox Classic Upper Alphabet Set to die cut the word ‘Queen’ out of the background layer. I adhered Clear Embossable Acetate behind the word to keep the little pearls inside of the window.  Background layer in inside of the shaker is covered with 3/4″ Double Sided “Tear-ific” Tape and Galaxy Night glitter.
Birthday Queen
Edges of the matting layers are covered with 1/2″ Double Sided “Tear-ific” Tape and Galaxy Night glitter. To add a little more bling I colored some Mon Ami Gabby Silver Diamond Mesh with green marker, cut the little diamonds away from the strings and adhered them to the card. I also added Dimensional Glue to the center of the diamonds and some dots was added all over to the card. They look like small waterdrops.
Birthday Queen
The word ‘Birthday’ is part of the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment. I inked only bottom of the stamp with Versamark ink to the strip of white cardstock. It was heat embossed with Black Detail  EP.
