 img_0848

It’s Designer Jess here today with a SPOOKY card created for SparkleNSprinkle, featuring GLOW IN THE DARK Embossing Powder (yes, you read that right!) and the Halloween Cat Stamp Set.

Glow in the Dark Embossing Powder EP392

Veramark Ink (VM-001)

1/2″ Tear-ific Tape

Ok – let’s get started!

Make your cardbase!  I used a standard A2 Card (4.25×5.5″).  Set aside.

img_0849

Make your background!  I took piece of 4X5/12″ cardstock and covered with Veramark Ink. Sprinkle on your Super Thick Black Embossing Powder and heat set from underneath (this is so you don’t blow all that chunky embossing powder off the top of the card with your heat tool!).  Now, this is the tricky, but FUN part!  While the embossing powder is still warm, quickly STAMP your sentiment into the warm embossing powder, creating and impression.  You can reheat small areas at a time if it sets up, but you must stamp quickly and firmly.  I also inked up the stamp with Versamark Ink prior to stamping it into the embossing powder so that it does not stick to the stamp.

To make my cat image, I stamped it onto a piece of black cardstock using Versamark Ink and sprinkled on the Glow in the Dark Embossing Powder, then heat settting. I just love this Embossing Powder.  Fussy cut out your image and set aside.

I placed 2 strips of 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape directly onto my cardbase – one and the top and one at the bottom. To the top strip, I added some Black Magic Embossing Powder (heat set of course!) and to the bottom I added some super fun Silver Leaf Glitter Tinsel.  I lightly pressed it into the adhesive to make sure it was all attached. On top of this, I adhered my embossed background paper using 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape.

Final step – assemble your card and add your accents.  I cut a scalloped square of patterned paper out using my Big Shot.  I popped up the Cat image using Foam Squares and then attached it to the background once again using the Foam Squares (can you tell I love these little bitty squares? I use them every week! LOL)

Finally, it was time to have fun with my Nuvo Crystal Drops!  I used the Ripened Pumpkin and Ebony Black drops to add accents around the edges of the patterned paper.  I created “eyes” in the corners of my background paper simply by make a base dot of the Ripened Pumpkin and dotting it with the Ebony Black. I just LOVE how you can layer these fun drops! They are so much fun to play with – you just HAVE to get your hands on some of them!

P.S. It’s very hard to photography Glow in the Dark!

I hope you enjoy this spooky fun Halloween card – I sure had fun making it!

Until next time,

Stella Call Me Witch

Hi, Diane with you today!

I have a bright, cheerful and fun Halloween card

to share that is super easy to make using

some very cool products and a new stamp set (Stella Call Me Witch) from the

Sparkle N Sprinkle store!

Stella Call Me Witch

I started out by cutting a 5 x 7″ black card stock base,

(which I later mounted on a slightly bigger green card stock).

Using a star stencil and Dreamweavers white embossing paste,

I embossed the black panel.

Stella Call Me Witch

White the paste was still wet, I covered it with

Margarita Velvet Glitter.

Stella Call Me Witch

It will look something like this…and don’t worry if you have a few

uncovered places, as you will be covering it up later anyhow.

Stella Call Me Witch

I set the panel aside to dry completely

and printed my digital stamp

Stella Call Me Witch, then colored her with copics.

Brushable glue was added to her ‘hair’.

Stella Call Me Witch

Sparkle N Soft flocking Blissful Blue was then sprinkled on the Brushable glue.

Stella Call Me Witch

While her hair was slightly drying, I used a circle punch,

coated it with glue, then added Electrified Yellow Glitter for a moon.

I added the digital sentiment (part of the stamp set)

to the moon.

A few bats were punched, then coated with Black Ice Glitter.

Stella Call Me Witch

For even more glittery goodness,

I outlined her hat and star first with Nuvo Glue Pen Small,

then added Reflection Velvet Glitter,

and her shirt with more of the Margarita Velvet glitter.

Stella Call Me Witch

A green bow and ribbon were added along with a

Sizzix Scaredy Cat die cut that was totally covered

with Nuvo Glue Pen Large and then sprinkled

with Black Ice Glitter.

That’s it, she is all done!

Stella Call Me Witch

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Halloween Cat

Happy Sunday to you!

Diane with you today to share a fun card I created with the new

stamp set ‘Halloween Cat‘.

Halloween Cat

I had an idea for this stamp as soon as I saw it

and hoped it would work…it DID…let me tell how fun and easy

the background moon is to create.

Halloween Cat

I first used a Mini Mister of water and sprayed it on

regular heavy 100# card stock.

I sprinkled Nuance Orange and Bright Yellow

just by tapping the bottom side of the jar .

( I have little holes in each lid that I keep a push in for no spills…

simply easy to remove when I need to use it).

I added more water and more Nuance until I was satisfied with the colors

You can tip your paper to move the colors around,

just be careful not to ‘muddy’ them together.

Set aside to dry completely or use your heat gun as I did.

Halloween Cat

Next is where my creative idea came in to play.

I asked myself if I could emboss over the Nuance

and that is what I did.

Once your paper is completely dry use your

Static Free Pouch to go over your paper

(this eliminates any embossing powder sticking where you don’t want it)

Ink up your stamp with Versmark

and stamp right over the Nuance colored paper.

Cover with Midnight Madness Embossing Powder,

then heat set.

I then used a circle die to cut out my background moon…

pretty colors aren’t they?

Halloween Cat

I set that aside and die cut a fence.

I coated the fence with Nuvo Glue Pen (large)

then added Lacy Lilac Glitter.

I next punched out a few bats and once again used the Nuvo Glue Pen

then sprinkled on Black Ice Glitter.

Halloween Cat

I also punched out a few pumpkins, added the Nuvo Glue Pen,

then coated with Energized Orange Glitter.

Halloween Cat

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark on a scrap piece

of the left over Nuance paper I created,

then embossed with Midnight Madness embossing powder.

I cut it to look like a sign and hung it on the fence.

Halloween Cat

The backgorund paper is onyx cordinations, embossed with a Sizzix

embossing folder, then sanded.  I used a distress tool around the edges

for a more ‘spooky’ look.

Halloween Cat

I hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial!

Thank you for visiting with me today!

If You Can’t Fly With The Big Girls

Good morning all, it’s Belinda here this morning to share a Halloween Card with you using the newly released Cackle On stamp set.

Cackle On #743

The background was made first using Tim Holtz’s Spider Web Embossing Folder.  The navy CS was run through the embossing folder and lightly inked with a white pigment ink.  Next a large circle was die cut using Spellbinders Circle Dies.  Using sponge daubers along with Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks the moon was created.

Cackle On

The witch was stamped onto the moon using versamark ink and embossed with the new chunky Dalmatian EP (see the tutorial for using chunky EP).  I really love the look of these new embossing powders.

Cackle On

The sentiment was stamped with versamark and embossed with Black Detail EP.  A small chipboard bat was added to finish off this spooky Halloween card!!

Thanks so much for stopping by, see you soon!

Halloween Cuties Layout

Hi Everyone! It’s Designer Anita here today to share a layout with you

using some fun new Halloween Stamps.
I have very few Halloween photos of my little ones, so the ones I do have are so precious to me! They were 3 and 5 here. I have used the new Authentique papers for this layout and I love that little border of witches that I used right behind my photo!
For my title I have used Camera Life and heat embossed it with Concord Star.
I used the Witches Brew stamp set and the same EP for my sentiment. I used Clementine EP on the middle layer of my die cuts. To add a little sparkle to my border I used Purple Rain GL and 1/8″ Tear-ific Tape. For the double layered hexagons, I applied 2 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape to my paper, punched it out, burnished with Cloud Nine GL, and adhered with foam tape.
For my border I did some punching, layering and sewing with my machine.
I used Flourishes 2 in the corner and heat embossed with Detail Black EP.  I added a spritz of silver spray ink.
To see all the details and products used, hop over to

Candy Corn

Hi everyone! It’s Belinda here and it’s my first post as part of the Sparkle Team.  I would like to share my Halloween page with you, using the Candy Corn Halloween stamp set and the beautiful SNS glitter

I used several different piece of DP and layered them together. The Trick or Treat banner is chipboard, with rub on letters.  Using some of the DP I cut a tag and added a bow using black twine.

Cut a strip of DP at 3/4″ and place a 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape on the edge. Remove the protective covering, using your finger rub Orange Surprise Glitter onto tape.  The “SPARKLE” is so pretty.

Star of the page!

I stamped my witch image and colored with Prisma Watercolors.  Orange Surprise glitter,  Purple Potion glitter and Evening Glow glitter was used to add all the “sparkle” to my spooky witch.  Fussy cut the image .  Using Spellbinders Circle dies, I cut out the moon and sponged the circle with orange, yellow and purple pigment inks .  To give the sparkle on the edge, brush brushable glue and dust with Evening Glow glitter.  Once that was dry I stamped the bats with black ink.  I attached the sparkly witch to the moon with pop dots.  The sentiment was stamped and fussy cut.

One last look at my page!

I inked the edges of the 12 x 12 CS with black ink.

2 Cute 2 Spook!

2 Cute 2 Spook! by Belinda Shupe

Well September is here, and I am looking forward to some cooler weather, but here in Texas we will not see that until late October or early November.  But that didn’t stop me from thinking about all the holidays coming up.   I thought how could I use some of my new products from SNS!  Having just received a new stamp set Candy Corn from SNS it was not hard thinking of how I could use it on my page.
Let me show you what I did – there are even pictorial tutorials below. I hope you like it!

This turned out to be a really fun page, there is lots of glitter, more glitter, embossing powder and Pop N Cut card all on one page!!  This is going to be a pretty long post, as there was a lot details on this page!!

Another Look
Don’t you just love all the SPARKLE!!!  You can find all of these beautiful glitter and embossing powders used on this page at SNS Online Store.

To create this cute border, you
will need to stamp the image
onto 2 1/2″white CS and color, I
used Prisma Watercolors. Once that
was done, I added 3/4″ Tear-ific Tape
to back of stamped CS on both top & bottom edges.
Remove protective cover, and cover with

Eggplant glitter using finger to rub in.

This made such a cute border!

I thought how about a Karen Burniston’s Pop N Cut on my page, cute idea!!!  I just knew I wanted to put a picture inside, and what better picture than my sweet Alyssa.  I added a haunted house, bats and a scary ghost.  To create the glittery moon, I used a 2″ circle punch and sticker paper.  Punch the circle, remove the covering from the sticker add Celestial Glitter.  I used Stardust Stickles on the edges of the ghost for a little sparkle!

To create the fence, I cut a piece of 2 1/2″ of Tear-ific Tape and removed the protective covering and then punched the cover with a fence punch, see  SNS video tutorial.  Place the punched fence back onto the tape and cover with Black Ice glitter using your finger to rub in.
This is what your fence will look like after you have added the glitter.  I then addedReflection Glitter to the entire piece.
Brush off glitter and you have a beautiful glittery fence!!
To create that cute glittery witch, I stamped the image and colored with copic markers.  The sparkle was added using Orange SurpriseEvening Glow,  and Eggplant glitter.  She is a sparkle in the night!!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by, I love all your comments, so check out my blog by clicking on my name: Belinda.  Have a great stamping week!

Technique Tuesday — Tunnel Card

Hi! It is Technique Tuesday time here at Sparkle N Sprinkle. Halloween is right around the corner. I want to show you this Halloween tunnel card I made.  Tunnel cards are fun to make and help to show off a focal point. I hope you will enjoy making one of your own!

Supplies needed:

  1. 2 different patterns of patterned paper – both cut at  5 1/2″   x  8 1/2″
  2. die cut shape for window
  3. adhesive
  4. stamps and color medium
  5. embellishments

Fold the bottom patterned paper in half, open it up and lay it flat down on your work surface .  Add your focal point to the center. Mine is a die cut haunted house. You might want to add a stamped scene, a saying, etc.

This is the time to add any glitter or other embellishments to the center piece.  I added glitter to the windows.

Take the other patterned paper piece and fold it in half.

Open it up and fold the 2 side flaps in half.

Isn’t this great? No measuring! Now take your die and place it on the center fold and cut it out with your die cut machine.

Now place adhesive on the outer flaps and adhere on top of the other patterned paper piece.

Add embellishments and stamps to the front.  I hope you will try this fun card. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
