Grumpy Goose

Hello friends!

It’s Designer Jess here with a fun Christmas Card!

This time, I’m featuring the Digital Stamp Set – Grumpy Goose!

Supply List:

Grumpy Goose DIGI 823B

Fire Engine Red Glitter – G1007

Nuvo Crystal Drops – Apple Green 669N

Nuvo Crystal Drops – Ruby Slippers 752N

Nuvo Crystal Drops – Dazzling Blue 759N

Nuvo Glue Pen – Small 202N

Antiquities Embossing Powder – EP266

Christmas Fire Embossing Powder – EP285

1/2″ Tear-ific Tape – SAT04

Evening Glow Glitter – G1086

Daisy Glitter – G2019

Jasper Blue Glitter – GM2012

Blue Haze Glitter – GM2022

Tiger Orange Glitter – GM2033

Gold Mirror Cardstock – 797e

This was actually quite an easy card to create! I started by printing off the colored Digital Image onto glossy white cardstock and trimming to my desired size. I used the Small Glue Pen to add Jasper Blue & Blue Haze Glitter to his hat, Daisy Glitter to his beak, Tiger Orange Glitter to his feet and Evening Glow Glitter to the bells. So much fun!

I used the Glue Pen to draw the “light strand” around Mr. Grumpy Goose, sprinkled on Antiquities Embossing Powder and heat set. Then I went to work creating the lights!  I used the Nuvo Crystal Drops in Apple Green, Ruby Slippers and Dazzling Blue to make the lights (just squeezing a small amount out each time).  I love the effect!  I added a few to “frame” the image as well as on the sentiment and set them aside to dry.

While the Crystal Drops were drying, I created by background. I adhered 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape around the edge of my cardbase, removed the adhesive and sprinkled on Fire Engine Red Glitter. I burnished it well with my finger tool.

I took the piece of Gold Mirror Cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot, using a Diamond Patterned Embossing Folder. Once all the Crystal Drops were dry, I adhered all the layers using 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape. To finish off the sentiment, I traced the word “naughty” using the Small Glue Pen and sprinkled on Fire Engine Red Glitter.

I sure had fun making this card!  See you next time! 🙂

Festive Latern

I had lots of fun making a Christmas card with new Sparkle N Sprinkle Festive Lantern Stamp set #808 and Nuvo Gilding Flakes.

Festive Latern

Lantern Festive Lantern set is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink to the white cardstock. I colored it with Promarkers. To the metal part of the lantern I added glue with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen. After glue was dry I covered it with Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes.  I also added some shading with Gold and Copper Gel pens. After die cutting it with Oval die I covered glass part of the lantern with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops. Edge of the Oval is covered with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Gypsy Red glitter.

Festive Latern

Flowers are from same Festive Lantern stamp set. I stamped them six times with Tuxedo Black Memento ink to the white cardstock. They are colored with Promarkers and fussy cut with scissors. I added some glue with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen to flower centers. After glue was dry I covered them with Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. Middle flowers are popped up with foam tape.

Festive Latern

To make a background I just took an old pattern paper, added glue with Large Nuvo Glue Pen to the Crackle Background stamp and stamped it to the paper. I cleaned the stamp right away and let the glue dry on the paper. Then I took Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes again and placed it on top of the stamped pattern.

Festive Latern

Matting layer and die cut label shape behind the oval are covered with Large Nuvo Glue Pen and Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. It is important to let the glue dry before adding gilding flakes. Nuvo glue is drying tacky, so it’s perfect for gilding flakes.  Some White Nuvo Crystal Drops was also added in to corner of my card.

Mr. Snowflake Layout

Hello friends!

It’s Design Jess here today with a fun layout, featuring Mr. Snowflake (DIGI3127) – a DIGITAL only release this month!

Supply List:

SO this was super fun for me to make!  I started out by printing the colored Digital images onto white cardstock. I used the Wreath, the Snowman and the sentiment.

I fussy cut them all out and then started having fun with my Nuvo Small Glue Pen & Glitter! To add the glitter, I simply drew on the area I wanted it to be using the Glue Pen and then sprinkled on the glitter.  Brush off the excess and voila!

I added Sugar Plum to the wreath, Mr.Snowflake’s scarf and the wreath he is holding. I used Tiger Orange on his carrot nose and Luau Green on his hat!  Blue Haze added a touch of glitter to his gloves & pipe smoke and Sassy Silver on his bells and the sentiment. How easy is that?

Next, I added the Moonstone Glimmer paste to the base of Mr. Snowflake. I used a small spoon to dab the paste on and make it piled up like snow.  Such a fun product!  I also added a row of it to the top of the piece of patterned paper where I put the icicles.  I set it aside to dry (took about an hour).

I assembled my page layout using various pieces of patterned paper.  I added 2 rows of 1/4″ Tearific Tape across the length of once piece of paper and used Luau Green to add some extra sparkle. Then I tied the Pull Ribbon around the piece of patterned paper.  All of the layers were adhered to the base using 1/4″ Tear-ific Tape. I should mention that this is an 8×8 Layout! 🙂

To finish off the page, I added tons of dots with the Nuvo Crystal Drops!  I used the Morning Dew and Crushed Grape to add tons of dimension and fun. I even “drew” on some icicles!  What do you think?

I hope you head over to the shop to pick up this fun digital stamp!  Until next time,

Festive Lantern

Festive Lantern 808

Anne here with today’s blog post.  The Festive Lantern stamp set is one of seven new sets released by Sparkle N Sprinkle this month. This set includes three stamps: the lantern, the poinsettia cluster, and a sentiment. That way you can mix and match. For my project, I used the lantern and the poinsettia cluster. Both were colored with Copic markers.

To start out, I stamped the lantern image with VersaMark and then covered it with Copper Flame embossing powder. After heat setting from the bottom (this is a chunky embossing powder) and letting it cool, I then sprinkled some Coffee embossing powder on top of the Copper Flame. This gave it a great two-toned aged look. Finally, I fussy cut out the open areas of the lantern so that my background would show through (just like a real lantern).

The poinsettia cluster was stamped with a light ink so that the lines of the stamp would blend into the colored areas. After fussy cutting this cluster out, I added Sunny Daze glitter to the centers of the poinsettias and outlined the leaves with Lavender Iris glitter. This was then adhered to the base of the lantern with pop dots. Lavender Iris glitter was also added to the candle flame.

The background is a die cut from Sue Wilson Designs (Festive Collection – Snowflake Background) that I covered with VersaMark and then heat set with White Spark embossing powder. With this particular die, you can leave the oval in the center solid. I wanted this to have a yellow glow from the “candle”, so I colored that portion of the embossing powder with a marker.

The next layer was dry embossed using a Tonic Studio embossing folder (Simple Stripes). This is an 8″ x 8″ folder with a “frame” around the outside edge, so you’ll want to be careful where you place your cardstock. That way the parts you want to get embossed will. :-). All of these layers were adhered to the white card base using Tear-ific Tape.

A strip of ribbon and my die cut sentiment are the final touches. The sentiment was created from a Die-Versions Sweet Wordlets (Merry Christmas) die. To add sparkle and shimmer the sentiment, I added a bit of VersaMark to a scrap piece of paper, heat embossed Sparkle embossing powder, and then die cut the words. For me, this is a quicker way to get bling on a smaller die cut instead of doing it after they have been die cut.

Christmas Tags in a Box

Hi! Here is a little project I made with Christmas Tags #1 Stamp Set 805 – a box with four gift tags.
I kept the box clean and simple. Images are stamped with Versamark ink to a White cardstock. I added Silver Lightning Embossing powder on top and heated to set. They are cut out with Circle die from Spellbinders. To the pattern paper I drew some lines with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen, covered it with Blueberry EP and heat setted the powder with heating tool.

Christmas Tag Set With a Box

To make the lacy edge peeking underneath the pattern paper I die cutted two strips of white cardstock with Die-Versions Loopy Lace die. They are covered with Versamark ink and Silver Lightning EP, which was heat set with heating tool. To finish up the decoration I added some Silver Lining Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Christmas Tag Set With a Box

Inside of the box has two compartments to hold four gift tags.

Christmas Tag Set With a Box

I stamped each tag image with Versamark ink two times. One of each image was heat embossed with Blueberry Embossing Powder and others with Silver Lightning. Because of my bad language skills It’s difficult to explaine what I did but I hope you understand… I ended up with eight stamped and heat embossed images. I used Spellbinders circle die to die cut for of them (one silver and one blue with bauble, one silver and one blue with tree). Rest of four images was colored with markers and I fussy cut inner circles with scissors.

Christmas Tag Set With a BoxChristmas Tag Set With a Box

Silver Lining Nuvo Crystal Drops was added to top part of the baubles and to the trees stars. Christmas trees are covered with Emerald City Nuvo Crystal Drops. To assemble tag fronts I adhered image with blue center to a silver base.

Christmas Tag Set With a Box

To make the tags complete I die cutted four more circles, inked them with Broken China Distress Ink while they was inside of the die template, and stamped the words with Versamark ink. They are heat embossed with Blueberry and Silver Lightning Embossing Powders. Between front and back sides of the tags I adhered little tags, which was die cutted with Spellbinders Back To Basics Tags set.

Merry Christmas Shaker Card

Good morning all, it’s Belinda here to share a shaker card with you using the new Christmas Tag #1 stamp set!!  Hope you all are having a great week.

Christmas Tag #1

To create this sparkly background I used different sizes of Tear-ific Tape, Emerald Green, Gypsy Red, and Champagne glitter.

The tape was placed on the cardstock at a diagonal.  Randomly remove the backing and applied glitter one color at a time.

Christmas Tag #1

The image was stamped and colored with copic markers.  Using Nuvo Small Glue Pen, Margarita and Silver Dream glitter was added to the image. White foam and clear acetate was die cut using Spellbinders Circle dies. Embellishments were added to the shaker.

Christmas Tag #1

A second circle frame was cut from sticker paper and glitter using Champagne glitter.  This was placed on top of the shaker.  A snowflake was die cut and placed behind the shaker.  The shaker was adhered to the card background.  A small Green Pull Ribbon was placed at the bottom of the shaker and a small drop of Ruby Slippers Crystal Drops was placed in the center.

Thanks so much for stopping by I hope you have a great rest of the week!!

Elephant Christmas

Hi! It’s Eret here. Today I show you a card made with new Elephant Christmas Tree Digital Stamp Set 802.

Elephant Christmas

Best part about digital stamps is that you can make them as big or small you need. I sized my elephant to fit behind the window. Image is colored with markers. I added a layer of glue with Sakura Glue Pen to his hat trim and covered it with Crystal Ice glitter. Same glue was added to the ornaments on the tree. Stars was covered with Aztec Gold glitter and some parts of the bigger baubles with Crystal Ice glitter. All Tree Ornaments was covered after glittering with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops to give them a glass effect.

Elephant Christmas

To make the window frame I used a piece of white textured cardstock and cut a square holes with one of the dies from Nellie Snellen Photo Frames set. Top part of the window is partially cut with largest die from Spellbinders Labels Thirty-Six set. I covered window frame with Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint. Apparently some speckles of Gray Nuance water-soluble powder was picked up in that process… I like it! Happy accident. Speckles of gray in crackled frame looks very nice. Behind the frame I adhered a piece of Acetate. To make it look like it has been snowed, I added Dimensional Glue to different places on the window and sprinkled Bridal glitter on top.

Elephant Christmas

I found this glittered poinsettia flower and Holly branch from my leftover basket. To make them I covered piece of paper with 2 1/2″ Double Sided Tear-ific Tape. Branch is cut with Creative Expressions Holly Sprays die and flower with same company die – Classic Poinsettia. Branches are covered with Lator Gator and flower with Gypsy Red glitters. Same red glitter was adhered with Dimensional Glue to the branches. Flower center was made with Dimensional Glue and Aztec Gold glitter.

Elephant Christmas

Background was so much fun to make. I took a piece of watercolor cardstock, placed Want2Scrap Bricks Stencil on top and used White Dreamweaver Embossing Paste to make the brick pattern. After removing the stencil I covered embossing paste with Bronze Rose Embossing Powder. I let the paste dry and used the heat tool to melt the embossing powder. Apparently the paste wasn’t completely dry, it started to bubble up in some places. I’m ok with it. Actually it gives more texture to the bricks. Space between the bricks was colored with Gray Nuance water-soluble powder. The wall was made before the window. Next time I try to remember to clean up the craft mat a bit better after using Nuance powders 🙂

Elephant Christmas

Edges of the matting layer are covered with 1/4″ Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Aztec Gold glitter.

Elephant Christmas

Good morning it’s Belinda here this morning to share a easel card with you using the new Elephant Christmas digi stamp set.

Elephant Christmas

The image was sized and printed off using the color option.  To add some sparkle to the cute little elephant I used Nuvo’s glue pen along with Moon Rise, Sparkling Snow, Spirited Green, Sassy Silver, Fire Engine Red, and Golden Silver glitters.  Along the edges of the card and card base, 1/4 and 1/8 Tear-ific Tape strips were added.  The backing was removed, Fire Engine Red glitter was applied to the card and Golden Silver was applied to the card base.

Elephant Christmas

Crystal Drops were used to embellish the image.  For her toenails, Rhubard Crumble was used.  Small drops of White Crystal Drops were placed on the tree.  Along the edge Honey Gold drops were added.  White Blizzard was used on the ornaments.  Ebony Black dots were placed on the stocking and Ruby Slippers were added to the holly berries.

Elephant Christmas

The bottom panel was embossed using a Anna Griffin embossing folder.  Using my finger Pure Platinum Mousse was applied to the raised areas.  This gave a pretty shimmer to the embossed areas.  Next small drops of Honey Gold Crystal Drops were added to the panel.

Elephant Christmas

The large snowflake was cut using a svg file.  The larger snowflake was inked using versamark, and embossed using Golden Sparkle EP.  The smaller snowflake was inked with versamark and embossed using Sparkle EP.  A large drop of Ruby Slipper Crystal Drop was added to the center of the snowflake.  A smaller drop of White Crystal Drop was added to the larger drop

Thanks so much for stopping bye, have a wonderful day!!!!

IMG_9919 IMG_9920 IMG_9921

First I started by making my background. I took the sentiment stamp from “The Christmas Skate” stamp set and randomly stamped it across my paper using Versamark Ink.  Then, I sprinkled on the Mojito Marbled Embossing Powder and heat set, making my own patterned paper background!  I set that aside and sent to work on my coloring.  I stamped the skate image using Versamark and used Black Detail Embossing Powder to create my outline.  I took my TwinTouch markers and colored in the image (I like to use the Stamp Card as a guide to help me with my coloring! 😉 ). ONce I was done, I die cut out the entire image using a large oval.  I added some Reflection Velvet Glitter to the skate blades using my Quicky Glue Pen as my adhesive.  The Glue Pen is always an essential product to have on hand!

IMG_9923 IMG_9922

To make the glitter background piece, I took a piece of Sticker Paper and die cut out a large Label Frame.  I removed the protective backing and sprinkled on the Victorian Christmas Glitter, burnishing well with my finger tool!  I mostly did the edges as I knew the middle would be covered by the skate image and I don’t want to waste my beautiful glitter!

IMG_9932 IMG_9933

Once my glitter was well burnish, I took a few strips of 1/4″ Tear-ific Tape and attached the colored skate image to the glittered background sticker paper and then again to the background.  I tied 2 pieces of the MonAmiGabby Pull Ribbon around the card panel and made the gorgeous bow. I just love pull ribbon, don’t you?

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of white cardstock using Versamark Ink and embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder.  I die cut it out using a smaller oval and then gently rolled the edges into my Versamark Pad.  I sprinkled on Moss Star Embossing Powder and heat set. I popped up the sentiment using Foam Squares and then attached the entire card panel to my base using Tear-ific Tape.

To finish the card, I used my Ruby Slippers Nuvo drops to create “brads” in the corners and I created a holly leaf & berries next to the sentiment using Woodland Green Crystal Drops & Ruby Slippers Glitter Drops.

I hope you are inspired to get a start on your Christmas Cards now – I sure am!

Until next time,

Milton Catching Snowflakes

Milton Catching Snowflakes 787

Anne here and for toady’s post, I used the adorable Milton Catching Snowflakes stamp set.

The image is colored with Copic markers and the colors of one of his many scarves is highlighted with Purple Dust glitter. The snowflake that Milton is catching with his tongue was given extra sparkle using Sparkling Snow glitter.

Milton Catching Snowflakes1 - SNS

For the background, I started out by using one of the dies from the Tonic Studios die set (Merry Christmas – Christmas Strip die set) from green cardstock. As I wanted the strip on both sides, I had to die cut it twice, leaving a small solid piece of cardstock in the center.

Next I adhered a piece of Super Adhesive Sheet behind this green panel. I exposed the side that went up against the green cardstock and left the protective sheet on the other/back side (for the time being). Sparkling Snow glitter was then poured on top of the exposed adhesive and burnished into the adhesive with my finger tool :-). You want to make sure and firmly press the glitter into the adhesive for good coverage and to get into all of the little crevices.

Sparkling Snow is a semi-transparent glitter, so with the protective backing still on the backside, the glitter loos white. But when I removed this protective backing and adhered this panel to purple patterned cardstock, the Sparkling Snow takes on that color.

A strip of glitter/flock ribbon was added below the image. To create this, I started out with a strip of 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape and added a strip of 1/4″ Tear-ific Tape down the center of the 1/2″ strip, after removing the protective backing. I left the protective backing oMilton Catching Snowflakes2 - SNSn the 1/4″ strip of Tear-ific Tape and covered the exposed adhesive with Cloud Nine velvet glitter.

After brushing away the excess with my Glitter brush, I then removed the protective backing from the 1/4″ strip and covered it with Glistening Emeralds Sparkle N Soft flock. Be sure to burnish the flock in well with your fingertip. The combination of the velvety softness of the glitter and the softness of the flock is wonderful. You just want to run your finger over this glitter/flock ribbon over and over :-).

As a finishing touch, I added a piece of snowflake ribbon over glitter/flock ribbon.
