Valentine Fairy

cards-001cards-002I absolutely love these new Dream Fairies!!!     I used the Nestibilities to cut out the hearts then I stamped the Heart Fairy with Versamark and embossed with Cherry embossing powder…it’s a Cosmic so it really has a nice shimmer look to it!  For the edge I used Dimensional Glue and the new Interference Violet Glitter.   To finish it off some buttons and ribbon.  I think I like it so much because it’s not your “classic” valentine…it’s a bit different.

Happy Cupcake Day

01-02-10_0425Hi Stampers,

Here is a good all around birthday card for all ages!  No one can resist a Cherry Cupcake….I used Dimensional Glue and Sun Dazzle Sparkle N Soft for the frosting,  I also put a coat of Dimensional Glue on the cherry to give it a glossy look….the glue might go on white, but when it dries see how clear and shiny it is!  For the circle in the background I used Silver Mirror cardstock and my Nestibilities.  If you are going to be at the CHA Supershow in Anaheim, be sure to stop by the booth…this card will be on display with the directions printed out for you, and all the supplies right there handy.

Cracked Glass Wild Rose

12-27-09_0330I like the antinque look of cracked glass, and this technique comes pretty close.  I stamped the Wild Rose with Stazon and colored it with Copic Markers.  Then I cut it out with Nestibilities and covered the  cardstock with Versamark and embossed it with Super Thick Clear embossing powder, I did this two times, then I placed it in the freezer for about 5 minutes.  Then take it out and gently bend it to crack the embossing powder, do this until you are satisfied with the cracking, if you need to put it back in the freezer you can.  Then rub a brown dye in with a dauber into the cracks and wipe it off with a paper towel.

Merry Christmas to All

2009-12-14_0148_edited-1I would like to take this time to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.  I appreciate the nice comments you have left throughout the year.

I made this card a while back, but thought it was a good final Christmas card for the year:)

I used Groovy Christmas Tree and stamped with Black Stazon, colored with my Prismacolor Pencils, then used Dimensional Glue and Loyalty glitter for the balls, and Sunset for the star.  It is layered on a piece of blue mirror cardstock, then I repeatly stamped the Merry Christmas with Versamark and embossed them with White Detail.

New Rubbah!!

stamp-set-391-solid-butte1I just love the feel of new rubber!!  It’s so exciting to get a brand new stamp set to play with.  This cute set Solid Butterfly just came out and I love the solid images.  With all the pretty embossing powders and glitter Sparkle N Sprinkle has there are alot of possibilities with this set.  For this card I started with  the Card Sketch Challenge from Splitcoast Stampers.  I embossed the butterfly on the main panel and on a seperate sheet of cardstock with Electric Blue.  I then cut out the extra one without the antenna’s and glued the center of his body and popped his wings out.  For the verse I embossed with Red Apple.

Keep watching because I’ve got some different techniques I want to share with you on this stamp set:)

Flocked Leo

Hi Stamimg_0674_edited-1pers,

So I was asked to make some samples for upcoming shows using our Dimensional Glue.  I made several samples with glitter and I always like that technique for the centers of flowers, or polka dots on a clown outfit or what.  But then I needed to make a card for my nephew and

img_0773_edited-1

wanted to use this image of Leo.  Then I thought to use the Dimensional Glue and Buff Flocking, and WOW!!!  That really made his mane pop!  He looks so real.  I first colored him with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol, then added the Dimensional Glue to the mane, then sprinkled the flocking on.  I let it dry overnight before finishing the card, you can see a little bit of the image through the flocking as well.   So know I am working on some other samples with Flocked Glitter too.

So if you make a card using our flocking link it below and we can all enjoy your creation!

Stained Glass Iris

img_9476_edited-1Hi Stampers,

Here is a quick and easy way to use those scraps of DS paper laying around.  I just glued them to a piece of white cardstock and trimmed it to 3 7/8 x 5 3/8 ran it through the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and then layered it on a piece of black cardstock cut to 4 x 5 1/2.  The Stained Glass Iris was stamped with Black Stazon and colored with Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol.  I then used the Sakura Glue Pen and added some Spirited Green Glitter on the leaves and Purple Dust on the flower.  Quick and easy.
