Autumn Girlfriends

Hi, Diane with you today to share with you a tutorial of sorts for

my ‘Double Z’ fold card using the new stamp set

Autumn Girlfriends.

This card is really very easy to do and I will give you simple

directions, but there are great tutorials on youtube for it as well.

Autumn Girlfriends

You want to start with an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of card stock.

Cut one piece 4 1/4″ x 11″

Score this piece (with the 11″ piece along the top)

at 2 3/4″ and at 5 1/2″ (this is the main base of the card)

Cut the next piece 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″

Score this piece (with the 8 1/2″ piece along the top)

at 2 1/8″ and at 4 1/4″.

Fold as I have shown below.

Autumn Girlfriends

Next you want to cut some pretty paper ‘cover’ pieces.

For the larger Z part of the card,

cut 1 at 4″ x 5 1/4″

and cut 2 pieces at 2 1/2″ x 4″

For the smaller part of the Z card,

Cut 1 at 3 1/4″ x 4″

and cut 2 pieces at 1 7/8″ x 3 1/4″

Autumn Girlfriends

Using Tear-ific 1/4″ Double Sided Tape,

adhere to each z panel as shown

Autumn Girlfriends

Using the photo below for reference, attach the smaller z panel to the larger z panel

Autumn Girlfriends

Now we will make leaves for our card using a Mini Mister,

watercolor paper and the colors of Nuance listed below.

Nuance Bright Yellow, Grass Green, Scarlet, and Orange.

Spray your watercolor paper with water, lightly tap on the nuance color,

spray a bit more and repeat until you are happy with the colors

Autumn Girlfriends

Once dry, cut out the leaves with your desired dies

(I used Impression Obsession small Leaves Dies)

Autumn Girlfriends

I colored the Autumn Girlfriends image with Copics,

then applying a bit of glue with Nuvo Small glue pen,

I added Fall Leaves Glitter to the image leaves.

I then attached my ‘Nuance” colored leaves.

Autumn Girlfriends

I stamped the rake and the sentiment with Versamark,

then embossed with Gold Fine Detail embossing powder.

I used Spellbinders Label Four to cut out the sentiment.

I also stamped the basket of leaves and used the same

Fall Leaves glitter as I used above.

Autumn Girlfriends

I hope you will give one of these double z folds a try as they are really fun

and turn out so beautifully!

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Give Thanks

Good morning all, it’s designer Belinda here this morning, sharing a card with you using the Fruit Note (digi) stamp.  This is a beautiful image, just perfect for your Thanksgiving cards!!

Fruit Note

The image was printed off using the colored digi.  I did resize the image slightly.  Using the new Nuvo Glue Pen, along with Fairy Tale Lavender, Sunny Daze and Sunset the sparkly was added.  The background was created using a leaf embossing folder from Sizzix.  The cardstock  was then layered together slightly offset.  Using Nuvo’s Glue Pen and Sunset glitter around the edges of the card base.

Fruit Note

The sentiment was printed and die cut using Sizzix’s Funky Label dies.  The edges were inked and placed on the card using foam dots.

Fruit Note

Leaves were cut using svg files and my Silhouette.  They were inked with Bamboo Leaves and Spiced Marmalade.  Small leaves were punched using a Fisker punch.  To finish off I added bows behind the leaves and to the bottom.  This is a really simple card using the colored digi images, but with a little glitter and sparkle it turned out so beautiful!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a wonderful Wednesday!!

See you soon

Wisps of Autumn

Hi! It’s Eret here.  Spring is finally here in Estonia. Slowly grass is turning green and some Spring flowers are blooming already. Despite of lovely Spring I’m sharing an Autumn card instead.  I had so much fun to play with Want 2 Scrap products.

Wisps of Autumn

I used Wisps of Autumn Stamp set. I stamped the image two times to the white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored them with markers and fuzzy cut them out by leaving narrow white border all around.  I covered acorns with Dimensional Glue. The glue dries clear and keeps it dimension leaving lovely shiny coat.

Wisps of Autumn

Sentiment is stamped with a Versamark ink to the vellum. I added Coffee embossing powder on top and heat embossed it. I wanted vellum to be inside of the frame. This way the background is still shown but it mutes the colors down.

Wisps of Autumn

Now to the fun part. I took one frame from the Want 2 Scrap Vintage Fancy Frames set and painted it with white Gesso. After it was dry I inked it with Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo Distress Inks.  To add some interest I took a text stamp from Journal Mixed Media set and stamped with Tuxedo Black ink first to the scrap paper and then on top of the frame. Then I covered entire frame with Versamark ink and Super Thick Clear embossing powder and heat embossed it. Love the outcome.

Wisps of Autumn

To make the background layer I added the Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber, Pine Needles, Spiced Marmalade and Tea Dye Distress Inks to the  plastic sheet, spritzed it with water and smudged the white cardstock in to the wet inks. Then it was dried I randomly stamped text from Journal Mixed Media set with Tea Dye ink. Then I took Want 2 Scrap Brick Stencil and White Dreamweaver Embossing Paste and added some bricks to the two corners. After embossing paste was dry I spritzed Blue Lime Cosmic Shimmer Mist on top.

Wisps of Autumn

I also sprinkled some Super Thick White and Copper Flame embossing powder speckles to the background and heat embossed from underneath. Other way they just fly off.

Wisps of Autumn

Most time I use white cardstock as a matting layers. I just color the edges with the marker to suit my needs. This time I used green and brown marker for that. Then I took 1/4″ Double Sided “Tear-ific” Tape and covered the edges with that. After I adhered the background layer to the center I covered rest of the tape with Parisian Mist and Bronze Splendor glitters. Those glitters are opaque so it doesn’t matter what color the cardstock underneath it is but from the sides you’ll still see it.

Wisps of Autumn

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Wisps of Autumn #647, Journal Mixed Media #606;
Glitters: Parisian Mist (G1037), Bronze Splendor (G1012);
Embossing Powders: Super Thick Clear (EP230), Super Thick White (EP235), Copper Flame (EP355), Coffee (EP459);

Good morning everyone, it’s Belinda here this morning to share a Thanksgiving Card with you!  I pulled out one of my favorite stamp set Harvest Scarecrow for this card.

Harvest Scarecrow #227

I started my background on white cardstock, laying down my brick stencil and covering it with 3d gloss gel.  While the gel was wet I covered it with Red Rock chunky EP (to be available soon).  The gel was left to dry over night and then the embossing powder was heat set.

Harvest Scarecrow

The gloss gel gave the embossing powder a really pretty shine,(hope you can see that in the picture).

The sentiment was stamped with brown ink and punched using a circle punch.  The edges were inked with distress ink.

Harvest Scarecrow #227

Next the image was stamped with black ink and colored using copic markers.  A little sparkle was added to the image using a glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Autumn wreath

Good Morning! It’s Eret here. I would like to have Thanksgiving in Estonia. This holiday seems to be very nice.
I used digi images from Wilson #746 and Hats sets to make a small Thanksgiving wreath.

Wilson #746 digi version

I merged pilgram hat from Hats set with adorable owl from Wilson set. My Thanksgiving owl is colored with alcogol base markers.

Wilson #746 digi version

Sentiment is also digi image from the Wilson set. It is die cut with Ovel die and inked with Scattered Staw ink. I draw the oval with Sakura Glue Pen and added Golden Wheat glitter. For the matting layer I used white cardstock covered with Sticker Paper, 2 1/2″ Double Sided “Tear-ific Tape” and Golden Wheat glitter. It is die cut with die from Spellbinders Label 18 set.

Wilson #746 digi version

Wheat straws are cut with Silhouette machine. I inked them with Scattered Straw and Spiced Marmelade Distress Inks.  Branches are die cut out of Sticker Paper. For two of them I placed the die to the back side of the Sticker Paper. This way I ended up with branches facing opposite directions.
Branches are ‘colored’ with microfine glitters: Luau Green, Tiger Orange and little bit of Gypsy Red.

Wilson #746 digi version

Circle frame is die cut out of thin cardboard. I wrapped the twine around it to make it look nicer.

Wilson #746 digi version

Little pearls are cut from Mon Ami Gabby small Pearl Mesh. I colored them red with marker.

Wilson #746 digi version

Materials used:
Stamp credits: Wilson #746 digi version DIGI746b, Hats DIGI3120
Glitters: Tiger Orange (GM2003), Luau Green (GM2004), Gypsy Red (GM2005), Golden Wheat (GM2026);
Inks: Distress Ink (Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmelade);
Coloring Medium: Promarkers;
Adhesives: Sticker Paper, 2 1/2″ Double Sided “Tear-ific Tape” (SAT11), Sakura Glue Pen, Foam Tape;
Dies: Spellbinders (Sprigs, Standard Circles Large, Classic Ovals Large, Labels Eighteen);
Embellishments: Mon Ami Gabby (Pearl Mesh – small);
Cardstock: White;
Others: Thin cardboard, Twine, Silhouette cut file (Wheat);

The grass and leaves were die cut and inked.

The banner was die cut and stamped with the sentiment.

For the sunflower I used the Sunflower stamp set.  The flower was stamped with black ink and fussy cut out.  The center of the flower was filled in with dimensional glue and Bronze Splendor glitter was added.

For the rest of the flower Evening Glow glitter was applied using a glue pen.

Halloween Cuties Layout

Hi Everyone! It’s Designer Anita here today to share a layout with you

using some fun new Halloween Stamps.
I have very few Halloween photos of my little ones, so the ones I do have are so precious to me! They were 3 and 5 here. I have used the new Authentique papers for this layout and I love that little border of witches that I used right behind my photo!
For my title I have used Camera Life and heat embossed it with Concord Star.
I used the Witches Brew stamp set and the same EP for my sentiment. I used Clementine EP on the middle layer of my die cuts. To add a little sparkle to my border I used Purple Rain GL and 1/8″ Tear-ific Tape. For the double layered hexagons, I applied 2 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape to my paper, punched it out, burnished with Cloud Nine GL, and adhered with foam tape.
For my border I did some punching, layering and sewing with my machine.
I used Flourishes 2 in the corner and heat embossed with Detail Black EP.  I added a spritz of silver spray ink.
To see all the details and products used, hop over to
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Welcome Autumn

The weather was quite chilly this weekend and the cool mornings definitely have the feel of fall.  I love the colors of fall and used some of these on today’s card.

x

I started with the lovely fall image from the new Welcome Autumn set, stamping two but coloring only one.  Both images were cut into strips and woven together.  This was one of those ideas that popped in my head and I just had to try it.  Next time I think I will color both images and maybe ink the edges of each strip.  What do you think?

x

After weaving, the image was adhered to a white card base to hold it together.  Then pieces of burlap and orange and yellow cardstock were layered together and die cut with Spellbinders’ Labels One to create a window.  The inside and outside edges of the burlap were sponged with Rich Cocoa Memento ink, then heat embossed with Teddy Brown embossing powder using the Distressed Embossing Powder techniqueVersamark ink was added to the edges a second time and they were dipped in Bronze Splendor glitter.  Heat was applied to re-melt the embossing powder so the glitter would stay in place.  All of this was popped up over the image.

x

I created the flowers by stamping the largest sunflower from the new Sunflower set.  I stamped it nine times, colored, and fussy cut.  Three images were cut out complete but petals were removed from the others.  After shaping them with a stylus, Cherry Lemonade glitter was added to all the petals, using brushable glue, and they were layered with foam tape to create 3 flowers.  Dimensional glue was added to the centers and covered with Sparkling Coffee Sparkle N Soft.  These were added to the card front, along with loops of corn husk.

x

The sentiment was heat embossed with Teddy Brown embossing powder on a white strip and layered on yellow.  This was tucked under the bottom flower.

Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think about the weaving.

Down On The Farm

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. It is designer April back again to show you another card I made with the brand new Farm Sweet Farm stamp set 652. When rummaging through my stacks of paper I found the perfect background paper to go with it too! At the top of the patterned paper I accented the sky with Fascination glitter G1030. I also used Waterscape glitter G1108 in areas on the trees.

I paper pieced the barn and silo and used Silver Detail embossing powder EP257 on the silo roof. Yellow Gold Glitter Tinsel GT3005 was used for the hay in the barn loft. Sparkling Sands Sparkle N Soft SS118 was used on the horse for texture. I used Copper Flame embossing powder EP453 on the fence. Copper Flame is one of my favorite embossing powders.

I hope you have as much fun with this set as I have. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
