Water Stamping by Shona Erlenborn



Dye-based ink pads


White Glossy Cardstock

Stamp (either one background or several smaller ones)

Paper towel, wetted with water





Using a sponge applicator apply two (or more) dye-based inks to a piece of glossy white cardstock. For my Halloween background, I decided to use orange and purple.



Stamp the lighter color first:



Then apply the second color:


Now comes the fun part!  Take a paper towel and fold it up (I folded it twice - so it was four thicknesses) and lay it in a plate and wet it well with water. Take a stamp and use the paper towel like a stamp pad and apply the stamp to the prepared cardstock:



I used the little web that I found in the Fill the Jar Set, to make my background. Here is the end result (use a heat gun to dry completely if you can’t wait for it to air dry!):


So for fall, I tried another two colors, orange and red, using one of the Stampette sets (441S):
