Tissue Paper Backgrounds by April Williams

Supplies needed:

  1. White or Light Colored Tissue Paper
  2. Distress Stains in Complementary Colors
  3. White Cardstock
  4. Brushable Glue
  5. Water
  6. Pan for Water
  7. Foam Brush
  8. Glitter  --  I used Goldenrod Velvet glitter

Squeeze some glue onto the card stock, dip the foam brush in water and brush the glue across the card stock.

Wad up the tissue paper, open it up some and lay it down on the glue. Let this dry.

Trim off  edges with scissors.

Start swiping the stains over the tissue paper.

Swipe some of the raised areas lightly with the diluted glue using the foam brush and add glitter.

This is so easy and fun. Here are some more backgrounds I made. On this first one I went lightly over the stained background with the silver Distress stain to give it a different shimmery look.
