FOLDED CORNERS TO FRAME YOUR IMAGES - Style Two
by Debi Brile
(see also Folded Corners Style One for more ideas)
Folded corners give dimension to your card and call attention to the image or sentiment they frame.
This tutorial will show you how to make this type of folded corners:
1.  Start with a square piece of paper. The size of the square will determine the size of your finished frame. A 3 inch square will give you a finished frame 4 ¼ inches square with the corners touching. Using a bone folder to make crisp folds is recommended.
2. Fold square in half diagonally so the side you want to show is on the outside.
3. Open and fold again diagonally but in the opposite direction. Once again, the side you want to show is on the outside.
4. Open again. Flip paper over.
Fold in half, side to side.Â
Flipping the paper over is the key to getting your corner to fold easily. This time the side you will want to show is on the inside of the fold.
5. Unfold. Place your finger in the center of the square on the underside of the paper and just give the paper a little push upwards. You should see that 2 sides almost want to fold into the center.
6. Push these 2 sides into the center and creating a valley fold on each side. Â
7. Place the resulting double triangle on your work surface. Carefully lift the top right side of the triangle and fold it into the center so the side fold is even with the center of the large triangle.   Repeat with the left side. Finishing your corner.
8. Make 4.Â
9. Assemble by sliding the corners of your image into corner pockets just made.
