Stamp Credits : MUSICAL NOTATION #1563-313C
NOTES #0193-93A
BEAT GOES ON #1568-313A
Other Supplies : Copper Dreams Detail embossing powder EP268
VersaMark inkpad #99702
Pine green dye inkpad
Pearl-Ex: antique bronze & spring green
Swiffer duster replacement pad
Cardstock: black & textured medium green
Paper: deep mustard & light mustard
Five small copper snaps
Decorative corner punch
Corner rounder punch
Double stick adhesive tape
Double stick adhesive foam tape
Heat gun
Instructions : 1. Make a vertical card 6 ½”x 5” from textured medium green cardstock. Round all the corners with the corner rounder punch. Set it aside.
2. Cut a piece of black cardstock 4 ¾”x 4 ¼”. Using the corner of the foam pad on the VersaMark inkpad make vertical consecutive waves with the 4 ¾” side of the cardstock facing you. Hints: Press down on the corner of the pad, but also drag some of the rest of the pad down the cardstock with it to make shadows next to the distinct waves made by the corner of the inkpad. Turn the cardstock upside down so the tops of the waves go in the opposite direction sometimes.
3. Apply spring green Pearl-Ex to the card with your finger or a paintbrush. The Pearl-Ex will stick to the VersaMark ink. Then do the same with the antique bronze Pearl-Ex. When you are satisfied with the background’s appearance, lightly dust it with the Swiffer replacement pad to pick up stray powder.
4. Use the decorative corner punch on the four corners of the background and set a bronze snap in each of the four corners as shown. Set it aside.
5. Randomly stamp NOTES over the front of the green cardstock with the pine green dye inkpad. Hint: It is not necessary to stamp it where the background will be attached.
6. Using the VersaMark inkpad and Copper Dreams embossing powder, stamp and emboss MUSICAL NOTATION on deep mustard paper. Cut it on both horizontal sides as shown. Cut it longer than 4 ¼ inches so it will overlap the background on the top and bottom. Attach it an angle to the middle of the black background with double stick adhesive tape. (See sample card for placement) Cut the excess paper off the top and bottom so it is even with the background. Set it aside.
7. Using the VersaMark inkpad and Copper Dreams embossing powder, stamp and emboss the BEAT GOES ON saying on light mustard paper. Cut the saying to size as shown. Cut a piece of deep mustard paper a little larger than the saying to layer behind it. Round all the corners on both pieces with the corner rounder punch and attach them together with double stick adhesive tape. Set a bronze snap at the end of the saying as shown.
8. Attach the image piece near the bottom middle of the front of the card with double stick tape. Attach the saying piece near the top middle of the card with double stick foam tape. (See the sample card for approximate placements)
