Happy Wednesday!  Today is reveal day for two new great Hummingbird Stamp sets that we had given you sneak peeks to…..aren’t they beautiful??  These sets are so much fun to color and glitter or emboss and there are so many sayings you can use it for so many different occasions.   Click on the stamp sets to purchase these sets.

The first card is using the Cracked Ice technique that April shared yesterday.  It gives it a vintage or antiqued look.

This second card was done with the Faux Bleach technique on the Tips and Techniques page.  The embossing powder is the Tuscany EP’s Sangria and Sangria Star, and the hummingbird has Moss Star and Tuscan Star added also for lots of sparkles.

Hi Stampers,

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here on the blog and thought it was well over due:)

My Video Kit Club this month is using the new wine stampette set Chiante.  I am so lovin’ these sets and the new Tuscany Embossing Powders!!  They are fantastic to work with and the colors are oh so perfect and in right now!!  I also focused on coloring this month with the Copics.  So take a look at the video here and maybe you’ll want to join the club too!

I am also teaching the FREE Copic Class next Saturday morning and I’m using this stamp as my focus.  Learn how to achieve the look of a green wine bottle with the red wine in it.  Be sure to call or email to sign up…even though it’s free we still want to know you are coming!

Hello Everyone,

This is one of those card shares that I couldn’t wait to show off to you here on the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog…I was just thrilled with the results when I finished it, and while it’s only 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ square, it packs a big beautiful punch. 

I used what might be my new favorite glitter, Carnation (G1028).  I adhered it to some Sticker Paper(99558) to create a gorgeous base for my flowers, which were made by stamping in Versamark (99702) on vellum and embossing with White Detail (EP298) powder.  Each flower was fussy cut and adhered to the card using a rhinestone brad.  These lovely designed flowers come from the Stampette set  named Blossoms To Go (440S) and the sentiment is from another flower set named My Rose Garden (402).

I simply added a scrap of patterned paper layered with a border to the top of my card and finished it with a bit of ribbon and butterfly charm.  A very girly card that could be sent to a friend for any number of reasons.  We all have those special people in our lives that need to be remembered with a card.

Here is a card that just made using a new technique called Copic Color Bleed.  I will be teaching a class in October using this technique I learned from Julia Stainton.  Again, it’s using the Copic Markers….I love learning new techniques with my favorite stamping supplies!

As fast as time flies, the hot days of summer spent under the shade of green trees, will soon turn to cooler days and lots of leaf raking. Designer Barbara Bruder reminds us those days will soon be here with her Trellis Card using images from the Autumn Swirl Set (on special this month).

Last Month, the Sparkle Team displayed cards in a “Non Traditional Mother’s Day Blog Hop”, to honor the remarkable women in our lives.

(top) Verna Angerhofer wanted to thank the mothers of her Grandsons, creating special cards for each of them.

In this Card using the Spring Backgrounds set, Verna said she enjoys the bright colors Copics provide. The saying is computer generated. Lovely card, Verna!

Kim Jaime sent three lovely cards using the Mallow Jar image, black detail embossing powder, and beautiful Copic colors.

The cards are for her Mother, Mother-inLaw and Daughter-in-Law. Kim also decorated the inside of the cards with color and images. Thank you for sending the pretties in, Kim!

Nana Prof “C” (Connie) adores the children in her life.

Her family memories are portrayed in this cute “Rusty with Flowers” card.

Actually, this resembles me after a morning in the garden (smile AND dirt).

April Williams treats us with images from My Rose Garden set. April stamped the rose twice with white pigment ink and embossed with white detail EP. A water brush and dye ink pads were used to wataercolor the rose. Die cuts, punches and embellishments further detail this beauty which will be sent to her aunt.

By now you’ve probably seen the new Nestabilities dies . We have the stamps to go with them! Cute flowers to layer, use alone, cut as gift tags, create magnets, or use in any number of ways. Kindness is one of the fine, human qualities we can offer. Sometimes Kindness comes when we least expect it. Whether in the form of a smile, a gentle touch, a listening ear, a home-made meal, a drive to the doctor’s appointment with a friend or family member, a little chore, or simply being loyal… Kindness leaves her tender mark. Have you ever felt encouraged, special, hopeful, grateful — all because of someone else’s Kindness? We have the perfect stamp for you:

“Kindness Appreciated“, also available on the “Thanks a Bunch” set by artist Teri Martin,  contains an assortment of gratitude sentiments. The stamp assortment accommodates several punches and dies. The font variety fits just about any situation.

Today, designers Julie Warner and Eleanor Jenkins present two unique ways of thanking someone for their Kindness.

Eleanor’s charmingly feminine, vintage, card takes us to a rose garden, reminding us to leave time behind, and really “take time to smell the roses”. Her Kindness card was meant for a lovely woman whose dear friendship is very meaninful.

Julie’s fun card whisks us into the joys of Kindness, with birds tweeting their happy gratitude. Vibrant colors sing their appreciation and portray a cheery blessedness. (The background technique would be great for hand-created gift bag or wrapping paper!).

Is there a special woman who means a lot to you? Celebrate her life by creating a card and sharing it with the rest of us in April’s Card Contest – Remarkable Women.

Just create a card for a remarkable woman in your life, and e-mail a photo of your card to SNS_cards@tampabay.rr.com

Use any medium, any style, any technique. If using stamps, please only use SNS stamps. Computer generated sayings may be used (no digi-art from other companies please). If using no stamps at all, please use one of our other fine products on your card. That’s all there is to it!

Deadline for submissions is Sunday, April 17 at midnight.

Drawing for stamp set of the winner’s choice will take place on Monday, April 18, between 11AM and 3PM. For every five individuals who submit an entry, another stamp set will be added for the drawing. If 10 people submit cards, we will have 2 drawings, with each person choosing a stamp set. When the number of people reaches 15, then we’ll add a third set, and draw a third name, and so forth.

Today’s inspiration cards are courtesy of designer Eleanor Jenkins. Eleanor’s first card features “Hat Stand“. It is part of the Tea Party set (we’re not talking politics) which is presently on special. From the same set, Eleanor’s second card shows off a lovely Special Grandmother saying image and a sweet Floral Tea Cup. Directions for these fabulous cards are not on the website yet.
