BLOG HOP!!! Deco Divas – Love is in the Air

by margaret_sns on January 18, 2012

Hop along with us…….

We’re celebrating romance in a blog hop. We’ve decided to embrace our inner divas and not just concentrate on Valentine’s Day this year.

Each of our Sparkle Team Designers will be sharing their thoughts on how their cards fit into the Deco Divas – Love is in the Air theme.

A reminder that through the end of the month, the Sparkle Team presents St. Patrick’s Day, Easter and Spring along with all Becca Barton images on special – 15% off!!! To view all our specials for the month, including some fabulous glitters, embossing powders and other SNS products, just click here.

Important things first!

One lucky person will win the Grand Prize – a Stamp Set of the winner’s choice mounted on cling cushion. As you visit each artist’s blog, there is the possibility of winning one of THREE more prizes! It’s a secret though. No one knows who “those three” are except for me…so be sure to leave a comment on EACH blog to be eligible (including the SNS blog).

Winners will be announced Saturday, Jan 21st between noon and 3PM – Arizona Time here on this blog.

We hope you will enjoy viewing our cards as much as we did in creating them. To become eligible to win a Grand Prize, please leave a comment on EACH blog, and follow the directions on the last blog. Winners of the mini prizes are selected when they leave a comment on the mystery designer’s blog AND answer the final question at the SNS Home Blog.

Leaving a heart-felt comment inspires, motivates and brings happiness to each designer! From the last blog, you will be directed to come back here and leave a brief comment about………. (you’ll have to go there to see what the comment will be about). For those of you who have “hopped with us” in the past, the heartfelt sharing you left on our blogs, also touched our hearts. Thank you!

HOW TO LEAVE A COMMENT: Are you new to blog hops? To find the comments section on each designer’s blog, scroll down to the bottom of that day’s post. The word COMMENTS possibly will be very tiny. Click on the tiny word COMMENTS. A box will pop up (or you may have to scroll down again). Write your comment (sign your name if leaving an anonymous comment). Perhaps one of those wonky SPAM preventer options will show up. Just type in the shown characters and click enter. That’s all there is to it. You will become an old hand in no time at all. Designers covet sincere comments left on their blogs. They share their artwork and hearts, hoping to inspire others. Visitors who leave comments, in turn, encourage and inspire the designers. (If you absolutely cannot leave a comment for some reason, please e-mail with your comments AND the name of the blog or designer(s) you are commenting about.) Happy Hopping!

I read about your blog hop on Angie’s Hopemore blog…so glad I found out about it. I love to see new things people create. The talent in blog land amazes me. I look forward to spending some time visiting the Sparkle Tema designers.

Favorite valentine custom – is to make some valentine treats for family and friends, and to eat some rich dark chocolate!

NWFlamingo January 19, 2012 at 2:26 am

I haven’t met my inner Diva so I don’t know what she’s like! My favorite Valentine’s tradition is making cards. I’ve participated in several Valentines for Vets mailings over the years and it is just a lot of fun and hopefully the veterans like the acknowledgment .

Katherine Epstein-Leis January 19, 2012 at 6:19 am

I love the cut card and absolutely love the cardstock frame used around the sparkly image. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful day. :)

Karin Martin January 19, 2012 at 9:46 am

Thanks so much for a wonderful and fun hop! So much sparkley goodness everywhere and great ideas :) I have to say that my favorite tradition is to go out for dinner the weekend or two AFTER Valentine’s day…Much less crowded…lol!

Aurora Selvaggio January 19, 2012 at 10:48 am

I’m excited to be participating in my first blog hop. I haven’t been able to craft all week because I’ve been caring for my my sick puppy. I’m in desperate need of some crafting fun! I look forward to seeing the creativity and designs on the blogs.

Julie Twining January 19, 2012 at 11:37 am

Your team is so inspirational, they get my juices flowing. I do think my inner Diva is my creational mind. I have been making cards since high school in the 60′s. For Valentine Day? I ‘m happy with a kiss and “I love you”

Charlene January 19, 2012 at 11:46 am

Our favorite Valentine tradition is to have a romantic dinner at home..doesn’t matter what’s on the menu!

Hmmmm…my inner diva is eclectic…I don’t know what I love to do best. Guess I want to do it all!

Donna Ellis January 19, 2012 at 12:32 pm

Such terrific talent and BEAUTIFUL cards AND the inner diva of each designer. No two alike – and everyone’s cards are so inspirational. My favorite tradition is enjoying a quiet time with the Love of My Life. He is my favorite person, and we always find something a little special to do for the other person that day. My inner diva… hmmm… how about sweetly-crazily humorous since I absolutely enjoy the beauty in each person I encounter and like laughing?

A French Accent January 19, 2012 at 1:13 pm

Thank you for taking us on this beautiful trip! So much talent and inspiration! My inner diva is being able to get my ideas out on a piece of paper… and my valentine’s tradition is making a dinner with heart all over.. in the mash potatoes, on top of a puff pastry, or a chocolate cake.

Anita Braddock January 19, 2012 at 2:43 pm

Love hopping! Love seeing all the creativity! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Aurora Selvaggio January 19, 2012 at 3:10 pm

I actually don’t have any specific Valentine’s traditions. I try to show love to my family and friends all year round and don’t think it should be only one day a year!

My inner diva is a planner, but an original one. I plan everything in my head first then put it out onto the paper. Sometimes I amaze myself with the things I can come up. It makes for a fun time. :)

Verna Angerhofer January 19, 2012 at 3:56 pm

Well, my favorite thing for me and my sweetie to do on Valentines is to spend a quiet evening dining out and exchanging cards. We have done that for almost every year we have been together. I believe a few years the weather was bad but we still dined together at home and I made a special meal for us then.

NanaConnie January 19, 2012 at 4:19 pm

Wonderful hop and great inspiration from everyone! Thanks so much. My favorite Valentine tradition has always been the cards, even as a child when we exchanged them in our classrooms. These days, I love making and sending Valentine cards to family and friends. I send almost as many Valentines as Christmas cards! Inner diva — hmmmmm, I hope she’s the one who wakes up with humor every morning, and who is a born nurturer of small animals and children.

Sandy January 19, 2012 at 4:57 pm

Such a fun blog hop. All the cards were inspirational. Traditionally, my dh exchange cards, but he isn’t very BIG on these “secondary” holidays that he calls Hallmark Holidays. I usually buy him something he likes to eat but doesn’t buy often, like favorite nuts or candy.
My inner diva? hmmmmm? She would love to be very frilly and feminine, unlike me. But she really loves her family and friends.

kaiahobid January 19, 2012 at 5:38 pm

That was fun blog hop. And so much inspiration. Thank you for that!
Now the questions:
Favourite tadition is to make cards for my friends. I started it when I was 12 years old :) My inner diva is the tough one…. hmm… I believe it´s that from outside it´s strict and correct but from inside it´s soft and tender and easily breakable.

Robyn Rinehart January 19, 2012 at 6:27 pm

Baking heart cookies.

A big HEART!!!!!!

karenladd January 19, 2012 at 6:37 pm

What an amazing hop…loved all the romantic projects and this put me so in the mood for Valentines Day! As for my favorite Valentines tradition, it would be making my own cards and sending goody bags to my young nieces and nephews…and now a grand-daughter. Love taking out my doilies and heart stamps! As for my inner Diva, I think she would be crazy about vintage styles!!
Thanks for a great hop!

Marci M January 19, 2012 at 7:39 pm

This was my first blog hop, how fun and so much inspiration. My favorite Valentine tradition is making cards for my kids and now my grandkids and baking Valentine cut out cookies. I love decorating cooking almost as much as I love stamping.

Linda Loew January 19, 2012 at 10:38 pm

WOW what a great bloghop with such diverse creativity.
When I make Valentines Dinner everything is heart shaped and each person gets their favorite flavored chocolate truffles. I set the table in Ruby Red glass dinnerware. We have been doing this at my house now for 19 years . Even the boys like it.

Jann Lienhard January 19, 2012 at 11:03 pm

Oh Margaret– you did it again. Just when I think I can relax I now have some many blogs to visit and goosh and laugh over and take notes from!!!!!! Another shopping list will be formed as well

Sandra Kersting January 19, 2012 at 11:07 pm

When my children were small I always got them something special for Valentines Day and would lay it out on the kitchen table so they saw it when they came home from school. I would then go to my husband’s work and leave a card and small gift for him in his car to find after work. Now that my children are grown and on their own I still like to send them cards. My inner Diva . . . is soft and sweet and loves doing things for my husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends. I would also like to say this was my first “Blog Hop” and enjoyed it very much. Saw some beautiful cards and thought maybe I could give a couple of them a try.

Gina Recio January 19, 2012 at 11:22 pm

My favorite valentine tradition is when we were young and filled out those little valentine cards to all your classmates.
My inner diva, hmmm thats a hard one.

Susannah January 19, 2012 at 11:49 pm

What fun paper and a cute bee!

Jann January 20, 2012 at 12:15 am

What’s your favorite Valentine’s Day tradition??? I do not have one. Maybe taking my son out to dinner, just to show him, in a traditional annual event. What’s your inner Diva like?? My inner Diva is inside yelling at me to stop buying paper and starting adding SnS images and blings to your go to stamps and accessories.

Susannah January 20, 2012 at 12:37 am

My favorite tradition is gently teasing my dad about the time he bought my mom a box of chocolate candy, and then ate all the candy himself!
My inner diva wishes she could sing and dance on Broadway.(But realizes she can’t sing her way out of a paper bag!)

Teresa C. January 20, 2012 at 2:09 am

I am so excited to start this blog hop. Here I go.

Teresa C. January 20, 2012 at 3:38 am

This blog hop was great. So many gorgeous cards and great inspiration. The Valentine tradition I have that I enjoy is my family orders a heart shaped pizza from our local pizzaria. It started because my husband works nites so we could not go out for dinner because of the crowds (his reasoning) and then when we had the kids – they loved it. Not sure about my inner diva – but after seeing the cards – I am going to investigate and find my inner diva.

Sue Hamel January 20, 2012 at 10:27 am

To the Sparkle & Sprinkle Team:
The company you have developed Margaret is fabulous! I so much enjoy your products, assistance and help I receive from not only you personally; but from anyone on your team. You have the the neatest stamps and products. I always find myself refering back to your site for card samples and technique information. Thanks for such a great source to use.

Susie Stover January 20, 2012 at 12:01 pm

Making valentine cards for my grandchildren and then coming up with some kind of a special treat for each of them is fun for me each year. To all the members of your team, thanks for a great blog hop. I enjoyed all the work from each of you. You all have such creativity.

Kathy Vogel January 20, 2012 at 2:23 pm

My inner diva is a much younger & thinner me.
When I was in school my favorite Valentine tradition was giving & receiving cards. Come to think of it, that is still my favorite tradition.

Dianne Potter January 20, 2012 at 4:26 pm

I can’t begin to tell you how much I’ve enjoyed this hop! The ladies are so inspirational and share such wonderful cards. My favorite tradition is being able to make cards for family and friends letting them know how much I love them. But, I always enjoy kisses form my Sweetie! My inner diva is thinner with a lot more money. ;-) My heartfelt thanks to all of you for you time, energy and the continual joy you bring to everyone. Hugs to all!!!

My favorite Valentine tradition is not one that we do every year. Where I live, every Valentine’s Day, we have the opportunity to renew our vows on the beach. A judge leads the vows, which are rewritten especially for already marrieds. They provide a trellis under which each couple can get their picture taken; they give away prizes; they provide a very large wedding cake– there are usually about 400 couples who come. We are also given a copy of the vows and a certificate that says we re-commited ourselves to each other. The ceremony is very moving, and my husband and I share tears. What can top that?
