It’s a 2 Day Birthday Blog Hop (Oct 18, 19)

by Donna Ellis on October 17, 2010

Do you recognize the Birthday Basket? It’s the basket we draw names from! This time the names are deposited by following our birthday celebration blog hop! Cards are varied with at least a little Autumn inspiration at each blog. Some of the cards are “repurposed” and others are just pretty Autumn cards! We hope you will enjoy the artwork. Of course there is at least one prize involved. The more visitors we have, the more prizes will be given away. So tell your friends!

First, attention  AOL users. Please read the note at the bottom of this post.

Back to the hop. Questions go to SNS_Artist@tampabay.rr.com. We’ll be using the Birthday Basket again, to draw winner(s) names. Nine designers are sharing their cards with blog hoppers. But there is a slight twist. EACH designer will have a Birthday Basket on her blog. There will be a total of ten Birthday Baskets, including the SNS Home Blog. Each blog hopper has up to TEN opportunities to win. On October 20, one or more names will be drawn to receive prizes (depending on the number of participating hoppers) . BUT, there is another step involved. Only ONE of the designers secretly has the Prizes on her blog. So you’ll want your name to be in THAT designer’s birthday basket as much as possible. You won’t be able to detect it on anyone’s blog. There are no clues as to who has the Birthday Prize(s).

Not even the designers know! At each blog, you get to leave a comment about the designer’s card AND who you think has the hidden birthday prize(s). Since there are only 9 designers, you may visit all the blogs first, and go back to leave the comments, OR you may guess the name from the list below and leave it on the blogs as you visit them. Just be sure to leave the name in the comments with the message about the cards. Yes, it’s entirely up to how lucky you are, and how much you’re willing to risk. Here’s an example. If you think the birthday basket is on the SNS Home Blog, then on the SNS home page and each designer’s blog, leave the comment about the cards AND that you think the prize is on the SNS Home Page.

If that comment is added to each blog, AND if the SNS Home Blog houses the Prize, you will have 10 chances to win. But if the prize is elsewhere, then you’ll have zero chances of winning. You may split designers’ names through your comments equally, or however you desire, as many as ten times for one person.

The hop begins with Barbara. I’d say “follow the yellow brick road”, but we don’t have one of those. :-D There will be a link from each designer’s blog to the next blog, to make things easy for you. Please, only one comment per blog. If you get lost, just come back to the SNS Home Blog and begin where you left off.  (Comments should include something about the card on that blog AND the name of the designer who you believe to secretly have the Blog Prize). We hope you have fun!

Our Blog Hop Hostesses are:

Barbara Bruder

Donna (DeeDee) Maligno

Eleanor Jenkins

Jill Jacobsen

Joan (JP) Petty

Judy Rozema

Julie Warner

Sandy Meier

Donna (de) Ellis

Wonder who will win? And how many winners there will be?

Stamping hugs (and Good Luck!),

Donna (de)

Note to our wonderful AOL users:

Attention AOL Users: we found the answer about not being able to leave comments. The AOL browser is sometimes viewed as a “Proxy” server. Proxy  browsers become “suspicious” to some of the internet community. As protection from proxies, some web masters (like ours) offer additional protection. Comments from proxies are usually rejected by the protective software. To get around this, users may simply open up a different browser, like Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer or Opera. While signed in that browser, visit the blogs and leave comments. So far, it has worked for every AOL user who has experimented with it.  We hope it helps all our AOL players!

What a great way to celebrate Sparklensprinkles birthday with a blog hop.
So many lovely images, so many lovely embossing powders and glitters.
Do have a hop on to all the the designers participating, and you will see some fabulous creations.
Enjoy!

Although I’ve been a customer for a LONG time, this will be my first blog hop…so I’m not going to try to contend for the prize….I’m just going to find my way around and enjoy the “festivities!”

I think the prize is right here on the SNS Home Blog in your basket. I love that Autumn Swirl stamp set. I must remember to order it. I can’t wait to see what the prizes are & who wins them. Hope it’s me!

I so enjoyed meeting you at your charming booth at the Expo. What a great assortment of the neatest things you had! It’s no wonder that you ran out of bags! Can’t wait to get the stamps I ordered. I am looking for the faux bleach technique you explained and said that I could find on this blog. I can’t find the tutorial. Can you help?
