Rusty Step Card-contest (BIG HINT)!

by Jill Jacobsen on August 26, 2010

Here is another Step Card from our designer Sandy.  I love the dimension in these types of cards! So much room for different elements.  She chose several stamps that coordinated in the Me & Mommy stamp set.   I wish you could see this card in person.  Sandy embossed Rusty with Black Detail Embossing Powder and colored him with water based markers, the sentiment is also embossed with Cherry Embossing Powder, so instead of looking flat with dull ink they are dimensional, glossy, and adds so much to the card.  Embossing really does make a huge difference.   Try if you haven’t and see for yourself.  The flower in the corner is beautiful.

With over 30 Guesses in our “Guess What’s Happening in October” Contest, NO one has guessed yet! But GREAT ideas! In fact – thanks for the ideas — as your “game” hostess (LOL), I’ll try to use many of them throughout the year. In the meantime, feel free to GUESS AGAIN LOL. “If at first you don’t succeed…”

So far 8 submissions have been made for the September Card Contest! Here’s one by Becky! We’d love seeing yours! Submission deadline is September 10 for a free stamp set of your choice!

Happy Stamping,

Jill & Donna

In October you’re going to have a contest to make a step card for Halloween.

In Oct you’re going to have a card contest using Rusty and his friends, Becca and Mandy. Perhaps a Halloween card! Anyway, I’m sure it will be fun. Thanks as always.

I’m guessing it will be a contest combining step cards and the use of embossing powders, with or without Rusty and friends. Love the step cards, and am already planning one for my granddaughter’s birthday – contest or not! :-)

my guess is using embossing powders on sentiments
