Stella Grinchy Santa [11.16.2016]

Happy Holidays from Designer Chris! Who doesn’t love Stella? She makes me smile and when I saw this new Stella Dear Santa in the November release, I just had to have her ūüôā Let’s see what I did.
Stella definitely wasn’t a good girl this year, and Santa probably won’t be visiting her. She reminded me of the Grinch, so I had to make her green as an homage to one of my favorite holiday characters! I used the Nuvo Glue Pen Fine and rolled on glue to her hat. I sprinkled on Margarita glitter. Then, more glue pen on her hat ruff, and sprinkled on Exhilarated Green glitter. These two greens together were the perfect Grinch colors!
I die cut some snowflakes and jazzed them up. I used my finger tool, and burnished on some of the Pure Platinum Nuvo Embellishment Mousse on some of the snowflakes and Blue Topaz Nuvo Glimmer Paste on others. I used Brushable Glue and adhered the snowflakes to my background. Here is what the snowflakes looked like.
804_stellasanta_03_snowflakes I added some texture to my background. I stamped the Crackle Background with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with White Detail embossing powder. Then, I placed some strips of Double sided “Tear-ific” Tape over the background. I laid out a strip from the 1/8″, 1/4″ and 1/2″ Double sided “Tear-ific” Tapes. I burnished in Gypsy Red, Margarita, and Evening Glow glitters in the tape strips.

I rolled out more Nuvo Glue Pen Fine and rolled on glue to the “Dear Santa” part of the letter. I added Gypsy Red glitter to make it a bit more fun. Here it is.

804_stellasanta_05_dearsantaI also decorated the ornaments. Whipped out the trusty Nuvo Glue Pen Fine and used it to add adhesive to the ornaments. I sprinkled on Gypsy Red and Margarita glitters to them.804_stellasanta_06_ornamentedgeHere is another shot of the card. Stella makes me happy, even though she is so grumpy and grinchy! So fun and funny!804_stellasanta_07_last
I hope you enjoyed this. I had a lot of fun making it.

Festive Lantern [11.14.2016]

Hi from Designer Chris! I really like this new Festive Lantern stamp set, which is one of Sparkle N Sprinkle’s new releases in November.Let’s peek at the card I made show casing this fun stamp set!
For this card, I stamped out the lantern image with Versamark Ink and sprinkled on Tuscan Sun embossing powder and heat set it. I die cut the cardstock into an oval. Then, started decorating things up! I wanted the candle to be soft but vibrant. I used markers to add some light behind and around the candle, and then I did something kinda fun and different … I layered up some embossing powders! I started out by rolling on some adhesive with the Nuvo Glue Pen Fine and dusted on Mediterranean embossing powder and heat set it. Then, I re-rolled out more¬†Nuvo Glue Pen Fine and added more embossing powder. But this time I used Blue Silver embossing powder and heat set it over the original layer. This gave some extra depth to my candle. Then, I squeezed on the Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops over the candle to give it some oomph and shine. I also dabbed on some of the Ripened Pumpkin Nuvo Crystal Drops to the flame. Then, I added in a little squeeze of Dandelion Yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops to the inside part of the flame. Here is what the candle looked like, after all this fun treatment!
To give this card a background and frame it, I decided to use the trusty and awesome Kiss Cut technique. I cut a piece of cardstock, and covered it with strips of 2-1/2″ Double sided “Tear-ific” Tape. Then, I ran this through my die cut machine and pulled away the release paper that was cut out. Here is what it looked like at this stage.
I rubbed in Night Sky Sparkle N Soft into these negative areas that I revealed by removing the release paper. This is what it looked like at this stage, before burnishing in the Night Sky Sparkle N Soft.
808_lantern_04_kisscuttechniqueglitterAfter I finished burnishing in the Night Sky Sparkle N Soft, I pulled away the rest of the release paper and revealed the actual shape of the frame. I burnished in Ocean glitter into the spaces that were revealed. Here is a close up of what the frame looked like after the kiss cut technique! So pretty ūüôā
I also stamped out the sentiment in Versamark Ink and sprinkled on Black Detail embossing powder and heat set it. Then, I cut it into a rectangle. I swiped on a bit of Nuvo Glue Pen Fine and dusted on Ocean glitter along the edges. This made it connect to the frame as well. And to make it more fun, I squeezed on some Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal Drops along the outsides of the sentiment panel. I also highlighted the “light” in the sentiment with a yellow marker.
This was a really fun card to make and I love how versatile this stamp set is. Let’s peek at it one more time for good measure!
I hope you enjoyed this card.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!-Chris

Festive Latern

I had lots of fun making a Christmas card with new Sparkle N Sprinkle Festive Lantern Stamp set #808 and Nuvo Gilding Flakes.

Festive Latern

Lantern Festive Lantern set is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink to the white cardstock. I colored it with Promarkers. To the metal part of the lantern I added glue with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen. After glue was dry I covered it with Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes.  I also added some shading with Gold and Copper Gel pens. After die cutting it with Oval die I covered glass part of the lantern with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops. Edge of the Oval is covered with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Gypsy Red glitter.

Festive Latern

Flowers are from same Festive Lantern stamp set. I stamped them six times with Tuxedo Black Memento ink to the white cardstock. They are colored with Promarkers and fussy cut with scissors. I added some glue with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen to flower centers. After glue was dry I covered them with Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. Middle flowers are popped up with foam tape.

Festive Latern

To make a background I just took an old pattern paper, added glue with Large Nuvo Glue Pen to the Crackle Background stamp and stamped it to the paper. I cleaned the stamp right away and let the glue dry on the paper. Then I took Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes again and placed it on top of the stamped pattern.

Festive Latern

Matting layer and die cut label shape behind the oval are covered with Large Nuvo Glue Pen and Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. It is important to let the glue dry before adding gilding flakes. Nuvo glue is drying tacky, so it’s perfect for gilding flakes.¬† Some¬†White Nuvo Crystal Drops was also added in to corner of my card.

Mr. Snowflake Layout

Hello friends!

It’s Design Jess here today with a fun layout,¬†featuring Mr. Snowflake (DIGI3127) – a DIGITAL only release this month!

Supply List:

SO this was super fun for me to make!  I started out by printing the colored Digital images onto white cardstock. I used the Wreath, the Snowman and the sentiment.

I fussy cut them all out and then started having fun with my Nuvo Small Glue Pen & Glitter! To add the glitter, I simply drew on the area I wanted it to be using the Glue Pen and then sprinkled on the glitter.  Brush off the excess and voila!

I added Sugar Plum to the wreath, Mr.Snowflake’s scarf and the wreath he is holding. I used Tiger Orange on his carrot nose and Luau Green on his hat! ¬†Blue Haze added a touch of glitter to his gloves & pipe smoke and Sassy Silver on his bells and the sentiment. How easy is that?

Next, I added the Moonstone Glimmer paste to the base of Mr. Snowflake. I used a small spoon to dab the paste on and make it piled up like snow.  Such a fun product!  I also added a row of it to the top of the piece of patterned paper where I put the icicles.  I set it aside to dry (took about an hour).

I assembled my page layout using various pieces of patterned paper. ¬†I added 2 rows of 1/4″ Tearific Tape across the length of once piece of paper and used Luau Green to add some extra sparkle. Then I tied the Pull Ribbon around the piece of patterned paper. ¬†All of the layers were adhered to the base using 1/4″ Tear-ific Tape. I should mention that this is an 8×8 Layout! ūüôā

To finish off the page, I added tons of dots with the Nuvo Crystal Drops! ¬†I used the Morning Dew and Crushed Grape to add tons of dimension and fun. I even “drew” on some icicles! ¬†What do you think?

I hope you head over to the shop to pick up this fun digital stamp!  Until next time,

Winter Birdhouse

Hi there, Designer Shona here today to share with you another card from the November Reveal. My card today uses the fun image Winter Birdhouse Stamp Set 803.

Winter Birdhouse

I decided to do a little spotlighting technique on my card. So to begin with I stamped the image twice with Memento Tuxedo Black on white cardstock and colored one of the images with Copic Markers:¬†Y13, YR04, R17, E31, E33, E13, E35. I then used different sized punches (1″, 1 1/4″ and 1 1/2″) to cut out the three little birds from the colored image. I then applied Dimensional Glue to the “snowy” parts of the circles. Twinkling Clouds was then applied to the glue and set aside to dry.

Winter Birdhouse

On the other black and white version, I applied the new Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste with a paint brush to the patches of snow.

Winter Birdhouse

This piece, when dry, was cut out to 3 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and was layered to a piece of cream cardstock which had been die cut with the Memory Box Cross Stitched Frame Borders and this was then layered to a black card base.

Winter Birdhouse

The little spotlit circles were attached with Foam Squares. The Nuvo Glitter Drops, White Blizzard and Silver Moondust were applied to the little dots around the image and Moonstone Glimmer Paste was applied to the little snowflakes.

Winter Birdhouse

That finished my card for today. Hope you’ve enjoyed your visit?!

Winter Birdhouse

Till next time,

Festive Lantern & Poinsettias {11.09.2016}

Hi from Designer Chris! All I can say is WOW about the new November stamps! So. Much. Fun! For today’s card, I used the 808 Festive Lantern Stamp Set. I love the lantern, and the poinsettias are perfect too. Let’s check out the card.
I stamped the lantern stamp with black pigment ink, and then added Clear Detail embossing powder, and heat set it. I die cut the image with an oval die. Then, I started decorating! I colored the candle with a red marker and colored the flame with yellow and orange. You know me, I need some bling! So, after coloring these, I whipped out my new favorite adhesive, the Nuvo Glue Pen Fine, and rolled out adhesive onto the candle. I sprinkled on Collegiate Garnet glitter and made the candle super sparkly! I used the Nuvo Glue Pen Fine again on the flame, and added Evening Glow glitter. I also repeated the Nuvo Glue Pen Fine again on the lantern and sprinkled on Black Ice glitter. As always, I try to not completely cover the image with glue before applying glitter. I want to make sure the image details show through!
The 808 Festive Lantern Stamp Set has some really pretty poinsettia images. I colored white cardstock in shades of pink, and then stamped out the poinsettias with Versamark Ink, and heat embossed Glitzy Gold embossing powder. Then, I fussy cut them out. I stamped out a bunch of them so I had a lot to cut out! Then, I paper pieced and layered them to add a lot of dimension to the flowers. After the flowers were all layered up, I squeezed on some Dandelion Yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops to the flower centers. Here is a shot from the side showing the dimension.
There is an amazing sentiment with this set. What a wonderful saying, and something we need to all keep in mind. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink and heat embossed Glitzy Gold embossing powder. I die cut the sentiment with an oval die, and framed it with red cardstock.
This 808 Festive Lantern Stamp Set is gorgeous. I love it and love how versatile it is. I know you will love it too!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!-Chris

Festive Lantern

Good morning all, it’s Belinda here to share a festive card with you using the new Festive Lantern stamp set!!

Festive Lantern

To start my card I used the new glimmer paste to create background papers.  Using the Emerald Green on green cardstock, Moonstone on white cardstock and Garnet Red along with a stencil on white cardstock the layers for my card were created and allowed to dry overnight.  These glimmer paste are so beautiful and can be used in some many different ways.  I just love how beautiful they are using a stencil.

Festive Lantern

The poinsettia were stamped onto the cardstock (sorry I forgot to take a picture) and stamped a second time fussy cut out and used as a mask.  The lantern was then stamped on top of the poinsettia mask.

The lantern was colored using copic markers.  To create the look of glass on the lantern dimensional glue was added to the glass panes and allowed to dry.  Dimensional glue dries clear looking like glass. Evening Glow, Waterfall, Golden Silver, Sassy Silver and Sparkling Snow glitter was used on the candle.

Festive Lantern

The poinsettia were colored using copic markers and Honey Gold Crystal Drops were applied to the centers.  To applied the Gliding Flakes to the edges of the panels I used the large Nuvo Glue Pen.  I placed 3 small dots on the top corner using a green maker and then placed drops of Morning Dew Crystal Drops on top.  Using a marker with the clear drops really make for pretty embellishments.

Festive Lantern

A stencil was placed on top of the white cardstock, and Garnet Red Glimmer Paste was applied using a palette knife.  I hope you can see all the beautiful shimmer of this paste, it is gorgeous.

Festive Lantern

Using the glimmer paste on the cardstock created beautiful shimmery paper and layers for my festive card.

I hope you have enjoyed my card as much as I did making it!!

Thanks so much for stopping by, see you soon!

Winter Blue Jay

Hello, Diane with you today with a fun and very easy

shaker card and few tips to make it easy for you!

Winter Blue Jay

I first colored the Winter Blue Jay image with Copics.

It was then fussy cut out (very easy)

I cut a 5″ square card base, then with removable tape,

I placed a Spellbinders Circle die on the card base and

the image so as I could see where I wanted to cut my opening.

Winter Blue Jay A

I used a We R Memory Keepers embossing folder

for the outside for a bit of texture.

Once cut, I adhered a piece of Heartfelt clear card stock

then cut strips of foam to place around the circle.

(A tip is to peel off the protective coating on both sides,

which makes the tape much easier to maneuver.

Winter Blue Jay B

Once you have tape all around your cutout,

(Make sure there are no openings in the circle)

add whatever you want for the shaker part.

I added little gold seed beads for this card.

Cut a piece of backing to cover up your opening and adhere.

I used a Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder on my back covering

before I adhered it

Winter Blue Jay C

A bit of Parisian Mist glitter was added to the leaves.

Winter Blue Jay D

Using Denim Velvet glitter, I added a bit to the bird feathers.

Winter Blue Jay F

I finished by adding 1/4″ Tear-ific Tape to the outer edges

and then used my ‘finger’ tool to add the Aztec Gold glitter.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark, then embossed with

Gold Detail Fine glitter.

Once again, here is the finished shaker card.

Winter Blue Jay

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Autumn Girlfriends

Hello friends!

Today I’m sharing a card I made featuring the Autumn Girlfriends Stamp Set #810. ¬†I used the Digital Version – it prints off a pre-colored image – making it so easy to make your cards!

Here is the SNS Supply List:

Step 1

Print your digital image onto white cardstock (easy, right?).  After I printed it off, I cut it down to the size I wanted and then applied Orange Surprise Glitter to some of the leaves using the Nuvo Small Glue Pen.  I printed off some of the basket images and applied the Orange Surprise Glitter to them using the Glue Pen as well.  To make the baskets stand out a little more, I used the Nuvo Small Glue Pen to apply the Pebbled Copper Embossing Powder, then heat set.  It just added some cool dimension.

To enhance the lovely ladies on the card, I added some Elephant Gray Flocking to their hair, some Christmas Fire Embossing Powder to the red sweater and some Ballerina Microfine Glitter to the pink sweater (all adhered with the amazing Nuvo Small Glue Pen). The sentiment was printed off onto white cardstock and then trimmed to size.  I covered the entire piece of paper with Versamark Ink, then sprinkled on the Clear Detail Embossing Powder, heat setting.  Finally, I carefully sprinkled on some Orange Surprise Glitter and the re-heated the Embossing powder to adhere the glitter!

Step 2

¬†I applied a row of 1/4″ Tear-ific Tape around the outside edge of my image. ¬†After you remove the backing tape, gently apply your Copper Gilding Flakes and rub into the adhesive, brushing off the extra. ¬†Don’t sneeze or else you will end up with gilding flakes EVERYWHERE! LOL
img_1195 img_1196 img_1194

Step 3

I did some layering for the background with orange cardstock and some patterned paper, then adhered the front panel Рall secured with Tear-ific Tape of course!  A piece of orange ribbon was tied around the panel, then I added the sentiment & baskets using dimensional foam tape. The entire panel was adhered to the card base using Tear-ific Tape.

Finally, I added some embellishment dots using Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ripened Pumpkin and Dandelion Yellow.

I hope you enjoy this card and are inspired to make some wonderful fall creations!

See you next time!

Oh Christmas Tree!

Hi there, Designer Shona here to share with you my last card from the October Reveal. I used the Christmas Tree Tag from the Christmas Tags #1: Set 805.

Oh Christmas Tree

I started with cutting out the Spellbinders Holiday Dies set, from different scrap pieces of green cardstocks and before removing the dies I sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves ink over the pieces, which gave each of the pieces a different two-toned look.

Oh Christmas Tree

I stamped the Christmas Tree tag onto white cardstock in Versamark and heat embossed with Pear and cut out with the a Spellbinders Standard Circles die. I was aiming to give this card a monochromatic look, so each of the pieces were then daubed with Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse. I burnished extra onto the edges of the trees with my finger tool.

Oh Christmas Tree

I made my background by using the big daubers to apply a piece of white cardstock with Lemon Sorbet and Spring Green Embellishment Mousses.

Oh Christmas Tree

The background was layered to dark green before the white card base. The trees were then added overlapping one another using Tear-ific Tape and Foam Squares. The little orange star was punched from a scrap of orange cardstock which had been applied with some Moonstone Glimmer Paste.

Oh Christmas Tree

The Nuvo Crystal Drops Bottle Green were applied to the top right corner as shown.

Oh Christmas Tree

I hope you’ve enjoyed my monochromatic card today?

Be back soon,
