Wishing Ewe a Happy Valentine’s Day

Good morning to Ewe!

Today, I’m jumping ahead to 2017, with this fun little set from the December Reveal, Will Ewe be Mine Set 813, to wish the recipient a Happy Valentine’s Day.

I knew right away that I wanted these little lambs to be fluffy, and what better way to do that than with some fun Snow White flocking! Did you know you can color your flocking? Just dab a Copic marker using the side of the nib and the color transfers nicely on to the flocking. If you are doing larger areas – you can use a dauber. I used the marker for the inside of the little lambs’ ears.

So to begin, I stuck a piece of 2 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape to a piece of white cardstock. I took off the protective backing and added the Snow White Flocking to the sticky surface and burnished it in well with my finger tool. Once I was happy with the coverage, I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black directly on top of the flocking. I then stamped the image on black cardstock in Versamark and heat embossed with White Detail.

After coloring in the lambs’ ears, I fussy cut the two white lambs on the left and right so that I could pop them up along side the little black sheep.

I covered the silver brads in Versamark and then dipped them in the Red Apple embossing powder and heat set them.

Using a Versamarker Pen, I added a little embossing ink to the inside of the black sheep’s ears and heat embossed with Petal Pink.

The white sheep were then adhered on top of the black version and I used a needle with silver thread to make the heart rope, before adding all the little hearts to the image.

Dimensional Glue was used to add the googly eyes. The red background was die cut with Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Scallop Rectangles before being embossed with the Darice Hearts embossing folder. This was then layered over the image then layered on white cardstock.

The sentiment was stamped on red cardstock in Versamark and then heat embossed  with Black Detail, this was also cut out using one of the smaller Lifestyle Crafts Rectangles. A piece of red and white gingham ribbon was attached to the back of the sentiment and this was popped up with Foam Squares at the base of the card.

The ribbon was attached to the back of the card front before being layered to the black card base to finish.

I hope “ewe’ve” enjoyed my share today!

Till next time,

Good morning all, it’s Belinda here to share a project with you using the new Build A Flower stamp set!!  I love, love, love this set!!

To start my project I needed to create the background panel.  Using a Prima stencil and Blue Topaz Glimmer Paste this was created.  I love how pretty and sparkly the paste looks when using it with a stencil.  A little sparkle was added around the background panel using Nuvo Small Glue Pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.  It really creates beautiful backgrounds for your project.  It is a must try!!   Once that was finished it was onto the pretty flowers.

The flowers were stamped with versamark onto vellum and embossed using White Spark EP.  They were fussy cut out and colored from the backside using copic markers.  The smaller flowers were stamped again, steps repeated and placed on top of the larger flowers using foam dots.  The leaves were stamped in the same way.

For the flower pot I used left over cardstock that has been covered with glue using the Large Nuvo Glue Pen and then covered with foil, distress using black ink.  An embossing folder was inked on the raised side with versamark the foiled cardstock was placed inside the embossing folder and run thourgh the Big Shot.  The embossed cardstock was then covered with Golden Sparkle EP and heat set.

I was very pleased with the vintage look.  The pot was then stamped with Stazon ink and fussy cut out.  Small drops of Dandelion Yellow Crystal Drops were placed on the flower centers.  The flowers and leaves were then arranged in the pot.  I placed dots of blue Tombow markers in the corners and put Morning Dew Crystal Drops on top.  I really love how the drops picked up the color from the markers.

The sentiment was die cut using a Anna Griffin die, which was inked with versamark and embossed with Indian Spark EP.  A second die cut was cut using black cardstock and placed slightly off center to create a shadow effect.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a wonderful day!!

Spring Bunny

I know for a lot of you it is cold outside and even a bit gloomy!

To cheer you up and bring you a bit of sunshine,

I have a pretty  Easter bunny to share with you!

I used the newly released set Spring Bunny.

Spring Bunny

I wanted my eggs in the set to look like real colored Easter eggs,

so I spritzed water on paper,

then lightly tapped different  colors of Nuance on

to give a ‘dyed’ egg look.

Spring Bunny

I let the paper dry for a bit, then to hurry it along I used my heat gun

to finish drying it.

A tip though, it to let it dry for a bit first once you have achieved the look you want,

otherwise if still wet, the color will shift, and change the way it looks.

The colors of Nuance used for the eggs are

Turquoise, Bright Yellow, Purple, Orange and Pink.

Once dry, I stamped just the egg sections, then fussy cut out and applied to my already Copic colored image.

I also stamped a few separate eggs (part o fth estamp set) and fussy cut those as well.

Spring Bunny

I die cut Impression Obsession clouds and added

Sparkle N Soft Twinkling Clouds to one,

the second cloud was embossed with Coffee embossing powder.

I die cut three grass pieces

then using brushable glue, Spirited Green   glitter was added.

The extra eggs were placed among the grass.

To finish, I simply added a bit of

Sugar Plum glitter to the flowers

and a ‘fluffy’ bunny tail!

Thank you for visiting with me today.

I will be back late this month

using some of the same Nuance papers I have show here…

see you then!

Winter Blue Jay [11.30.2016]

Hi again from Designer Chris! My fellow designers have created the most amazing cards and projects this month and they are all so beautiful and inspirational! They inspire and motivate me every day! For today’s card, I stepped outside of my comfort zone and created a watercolored background and stamped over it. Let’s peek at the card.
To start, I spritzed on two Nuance Powders, in Turquoise and Royal Blue colors. Then, I spritzed on some water which made the powders change to color and it was so cool! Very colorful! Then, I dried it with  my heat tool, and then I stamped the Winter Blue Jay stamp the bird in black ink over the colored background. I sprinkled on Clear Detail embossing powder and heat set it. After this, I used my Fine Nuvo Glue Pen and then adhered glitter strategically over the bird. I used Jasper Blue, Denim, Surf glitters.
For the sentiment, I stamped out the sentiment in black ink and again used Clear Detail embossing powder and heat set it, over more of the watercolored background. I die cut out the sentiment and framed it with a larger die cut.
809_winterbluejay_03_sentimentAnother thing I did was to do an inlaid die cut / distressed edge around the bird. I die cut out the bird with a frame die, and then used an embossing folded to give some wood grain texture to the outer part of the card panel. I swiped my Versamark Ink Pad along the other edges of the bird frame die and the inside edge of the outer piece of cardstock. I sprinkled on Sky Blue Spark embossing powder and heat set it. You can see the embossing powder here.
I also decorated up the tree that the bird is sitting on. I used my Fine Nuvo Glue Pen to add adhesive to the tree, and sprinkled on Rose Gold and Lator Gator to brighten up the tree. I love it!
This Winter Blue Jay stamp set is gorgeous! I am in awe of all the cards that the designers made this month using it. If you haven’t yet, go through this month’s blog posts and check out this gorgeous stamp used in multiple ways. You will be inspired!

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a magical day!-Chris

Faith in Wings

Today I want to share a card made with my favorite stamp From Sparkle N Sprinkle November Reveal – Winter Blue Jay 809. I can only admire photos of this bird – sadly we don’t have them in Estonia.  I actually didn’t even knew that such birds exist…

Faith in Wings

Image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used Promarkers for coloring. To his feathers I added small strokes with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and covered the glue with Denim Microfine Glitter. Leaves on the branch are ‘colored’ with same glue pen. After glue was dried to tacky I added Sunkissed Copper  Nuvo Gilding Flakes on top.

Faith in Wings

Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Coffee Embossing Powder.

Faith in Wings

Flower is made with Creative Expressions Delicate Daisies Open Petals die set. I added some color with Salty Ocean Distress ink. In center of flower is a glitter dot made with Dazzling Blue Nuvo Glitter Drops. I didn’t add Glitter Drop directly to flower center. I made a big drop to the Tear-ific Tape backing and let it set. After it was dry I placed it to the flower. I love this color.
Leaves are cut with Creative Expressions Faux Quilled Leaves die out of Sticker Paper. They are covered with Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes.

Faith in Wings

Edges of the image layer are inked with Salty Ocean Distress ink. Then I took Medium tip Nuvo Glue Pen and added glue all around the edges. After glue was dry I adhered Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes on top.
I love to make glittered matting layers. I placed 1/4″ Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to all around the matting layer edges, adhered image layer on center and covered rest of the tape with Denim Microfine Glitter.  To finish off my card I added some small dots of White Nuvo Crystal Drops and Dazzling Blue Nuvo Glitter Drops.

Grumpy Goose

Hello friends!

It’s Designer Jess here with a fun Christmas Card!

This time, I’m featuring the Digital Stamp Set – Grumpy Goose!

Supply List:

Grumpy Goose DIGI 823B

Fire Engine Red Glitter – G1007

Nuvo Crystal Drops – Apple Green 669N

Nuvo Crystal Drops – Ruby Slippers 752N

Nuvo Crystal Drops – Dazzling Blue 759N

Nuvo Glue Pen – Small 202N

Antiquities Embossing Powder – EP266

Christmas Fire Embossing Powder – EP285

1/2″ Tear-ific Tape – SAT04

Evening Glow Glitter – G1086

Daisy Glitter – G2019

Jasper Blue Glitter – GM2012

Blue Haze Glitter – GM2022

Tiger Orange Glitter – GM2033

Gold Mirror Cardstock – 797e

This was actually quite an easy card to create! I started by printing off the colored Digital Image onto glossy white cardstock and trimming to my desired size. I used the Small Glue Pen to add Jasper Blue & Blue Haze Glitter to his hat, Daisy Glitter to his beak, Tiger Orange Glitter to his feet and Evening Glow Glitter to the bells. So much fun!

I used the Glue Pen to draw the “light strand” around Mr. Grumpy Goose, sprinkled on Antiquities Embossing Powder and heat set. Then I went to work creating the lights!  I used the Nuvo Crystal Drops in Apple Green, Ruby Slippers and Dazzling Blue to make the lights (just squeezing a small amount out each time).  I love the effect!  I added a few to “frame” the image as well as on the sentiment and set them aside to dry.

While the Crystal Drops were drying, I created by background. I adhered 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape around the edge of my cardbase, removed the adhesive and sprinkled on Fire Engine Red Glitter. I burnished it well with my finger tool.

I took the piece of Gold Mirror Cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot, using a Diamond Patterned Embossing Folder. Once all the Crystal Drops were dry, I adhered all the layers using 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape. To finish off the sentiment, I traced the word “naughty” using the Small Glue Pen and sprinkled on Fire Engine Red Glitter.

I sure had fun making this card!  See you next time! 🙂

Dear Santa!

Hi there, and a very Happy Thanksgiving to all,

Designer Shona here today to share my last November Reveal card using the Stella –Dear Santa Set 804. What a fun little “Stella” set for Christmas!

Dear Santa

I started with the background, using the Spellbinders Ripples Embossing Folder – I ran red cardstock through the embossing folder and then daubed Pure Platinum embellishment mouse to the piece to accentuate the pattern (which kind of reminded me of baubles).

Dear Santa

I built her wall with the Darice Brick Pattern embossing folder using watercolor paper (which had the texture already), then I daubed Cosmic Brown embellishment mousse over the bricks and “grouted” with the E25 Copic Marker.

Dear Santa

The wall was layered to the red rippled background. Santa Stella was then stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics, R37, C3, C5, B32, E02, E25, and 0. She was then fussy cut, along with the baubles. I added some Dimensional Glue to all of the white trim around her hat, cuffs and skirt and applied Twinkling Clouds. This was set aside to dry.

Dear Santa

I applied a little Nuvo glue with the fine tip pen and then added some Blissful Blue Sparkle N Soft to Stella’s hair.

Dear Santa

Adding a little of the Nuvo Fine Tipped Glue Pen to the top of the baubles and applied Reflection Velvet Glitter. When this was dry, I covered the colored part of the baubles with Dimensional Glue and they were set aside to dry.

Dear Santa

Dimensional Glue was also applied to her glasses and the new Nuvo Ruby Slipper Glitter drops were used for a sparkly red pair of earrings. I cut a slit in the scroll, so that the scroll would go behind the wall. Stella was then attached with Foam Squares. A piece of silver thread was tied with three little bows and then the shiny baubles were stuck down with glue dots and Foam Squares.

Dear Santa

The card front was layered to a white card base, which was edged with 1/4″ Tear-ific Tape and then the sticky adhesive was covered with the new Merlot Velvet Glitter.

Dear Santa

That finished off my card for today. Hope you’ve enjoyed my share today and that you’ve had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

Big hugs,

Christmas Tag #2 Gate-Fold Card [11.23.2016]

Hi from Designer Chris! Okay, so I really like the November release stamps, and today’s card uses the incredible Christmas Tag #2 stamp set. Let’s check it out.

I stamped out the snowman tag in black ink, then sprinkled Clear Detail embossing powder over it, and heat set it. I colored the image with water colors, and then die cut out the tag into a circle. Then, I began working on the card front. I scraplifted an idea from Demo Donna. (She makes incredible creations!) Demo Donna’s video for the October Video Kit Club demonstrates how to make a background using the Nuvo Glue Pen Large and Gilding Flakes. I followed her lead, and I swiped the Nuvo Glue Pen Large over the snowflake tag in the Christmas Tag #2 stamp set. I stamped out the image repeatedly along the edges of the gate fold card front and let the glue dry until it was tacky. Then, I dumped on the Silver Bullion Nuvo Gilding Flakes, and rubbed in the flakes into the tacky glue. I burnished it in, then brushed off the left over flakes. This made a really fun pattern on my card front. Here is what it looked like.

I also die cut out a scalloped circle, and repeated the same process. I swiped the Nuvo Glue Pen Large over the scalloped edge and let it dry. Once it was tacky, I dumped on the Silver Bullion Nuvo Gilding Flakes, and rubbed in the flakes into the tacky glue. I burnished it in, then brushed off the left over flakes. I used this to mat the shaker circle, and I also did the same process on the top circle of the shaker.

To make the shaker, I started creating more circle “frames” by die cutting paper using two circle dies taped together and cut about 10 of them so I could stack them up to create dimension for the shaker components. I also die cut two circles in Embossable Clear Acetate. I stacked and adhered about five of the circles into a stack, and adhered it over the snowman circle tag. I then added in clear star sequins and adhered one of the acetate circles over it. Then, adhered and stacked the rest of the circle frames. I added in purple beads and sealed it shut with the second piece of acetate. Then, to finish it off, adhered the silver embossed circle on top. You can see in the photo below the two different layers of the shaker sequins and beads. I also stamped out the “to” and “from” sentiments using Versamark Ink Pad, and heat embossed Sonic Silver embossing powder. I fussy cut them out and adhered these to the acetate part of the shaker.

This was really fun to make. I like the looks of the double shaker and think I will try it again! I hope you enjoyed it and will try Demo Donna’s background stamp gilding flake technique. Thanks Demo Donna for the inspiration!!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Winter Birdhouse

I have a ‘sparkle-y’ card to share with you today,

using the new stamp set Winter Birdhouse.

Winter Bird House

I started by laying my 8 1/2″ x 11″ card stock

across my scor-board with the 11″ across the top.

Scor at 3 1/8″ and again at 8 5/8″.

Trim card length to be 5 3/8″ long.

Winter Bird House

It should look something like this.

Winter Bird House C

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink,

then colored with Copics.

The panel was then adhered to the left side of the card

with 1/4″ Tear-ific Tape,

sprinkled with Fire Engine Red glitter

and then using my ‘finger’ tool,

burnished in

Winter Birdhouse

For the left side of the card,

I cut a panel to fit,

then embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing snowflake folder.

Winter Bird House

Fire Engine Red glitter was added to the bird’s scarf and Santa hat.

Sparkle N Soft Sapphire Silk was added to the bird tail and wings.

The glitters were applied with Nuvo SM Glue Pen.

Winter Bird House F

All the ‘snow fluff’ you see was created using

Nuvo Glimmer Paste Moonstone.

I applied it quite thick to resemble snow.

I also added it to a few of the snowflakes.

You can just see a hint of the inside sentiment which is from

the set Eskimo Kisses.

Winter Bird House E

I hope you enjoyed my card today and

thank you for visiting with me!

Warm Wishes

Good morning everyone, it’s Belinda here this morning to share a card with you using the new Winter Bird House stamp set.

Winter Bird House

To get my card started I need to create my background panel.  Using the supplies in the below picture, Super Adhesive Sheets, Sparkling Sand Flocking and a embossing folder the panel was create.

Winter Bird House

Here is a finished background panel.  The soft sparkle is so pretty!!

Winter Bird House

Next the image was stamped and colored using Tombow markers along with Tattered Angel Pearl Mist instead of water.  This created a beautiful watercolor look along with some soft shimmer.

Winter Bird House

Sparkle was then added using Nuvo Small Glue Pen, Sparkling Snow and Waterfall glitter.  Small drops of Green Apple Crystal Drops were added to the bird feeder let dry and then Glossy Accents were placed on top of the Crystal Drops to give a glass look.  Drops of White Crystal Drops were added to the image panel.

Winter Bird House

The sentiment was stamped and glittered using Nuvo Small Glue Pen and Waterfall glitter.  Small branches were die cut using Heartfelt Creations die and a pull ribbon was added to the top right corner.  This is a beautiful stamp set, be sure to stop by the store to see all the new stamp sets.

Thanks so much for stopping by have a wonderful day!
