You Crack Me Up

Good morning all and Happy New Year!!!  It’s designer Belinda here to share a cute Easter card with you today using the new Easter Chicky stamp set.  I choose to use the digi version of this stamp set for my card.

To create my card base I used Spellbinder’s Radiant Rectangle dies.  For the white and yellow background pieces they were cut using sticker paper, glittered with Sparkling Snow and Sunny Daze.  The images were then resized and printed out.  I did print 2 of the row of flowers and cut all of them out using my Silhouette.  Sparkle was added to all of the images using the Nuvo Small Glue Pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.  Small drops of Dandelion and Green Apple Crystal Drops were added to the flowers.

The 2nd row of flowers were placed on top of the chick using foam dots. A 2nd flower for the top of the egg shell was printed, cut out and placed on top of the egg using foam dots.  Using the small glue pen along the edges of the sentiment, Hyacinth glitter was added.  I really love this cute stamp it will be perfect for your Easter cards.

Be sure to visit the store to see all the new stamp sets you will love them all!!

Thanks so much for stopping by have a wonderful day, see you soon!

Spring Bunny {12.28.2016}

Hello from Designer Chris! I am bringing you a card today showcasing the Spring Bunny stamp set, which is absolutely gorgeous! Let’s check it out.

I stamped the bunny on white cardstock with black ink, then sprinkled on Clear Detail embossing powder and heat embossed it. I colored the bunny, eggs, and flowers with Copic markers. Then, I started adding SPARKLE! I rolled out some Nuvo Glue Pen Fine onto the images, and sprinkled on glitter. I added Cloud Nine glitter to the eggs, Bubble Gum glitter to the pink flowers, and Orchid glitter to the purple flowers. The Cloud Nine glitter was perfect for the eggs – even though they are different colors, the Cloud Nine glitter made the eggs really sparkly and still allowed the colors to come through. The eggs look great, don’t you think?

Here is a closeup of some of the flowers and egg here. The glitters made these really pretty!

I stamped the sentiment using Versamark Ink Pad, and then sprinkled on White Detail embossing powder and heat set it with my heat tool.

I layered the card over some die cut shapes and added on some Dandelion Yellow Crystal Drops along the outer edge for extra pizazz.

This Spring Bunny stamp set is so adorable and I really had fun making this card. It makes me really happy to see this bunny. I know you will love this set!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

For Someone Special

Merry Christmas everyone! The card I share Today is not overly Christmas looking but I think it is suitable for the occasion.

I used Build A Wreath Digital Stamp Set to make the card. It’s fantastic set. You can build your own uniqeu wreaths. I chose the sprig wreath and added leaves and berries. It was time consuming process. But only because I had to make it twice… Right after I finished placing all the leaves and berries to the wreath, and I was happy with the result, I wanted to save my work but computer froze. So, I took a camera and made a photo of my computer screen. After computer was restarted, I imported the photo to computer and used it as a reference guide. At least I didn’t had to re-think placement of the leaves again. But despite everything, it was fun to play with this stamp set.

Image was colored with Promarkers. To the berries I added Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops. It dries clear and leaves nice dimensional shine.  wreath and the sentiment are cut out with Silhouette machine.

Lavender Iris Glitter was adhered to the bow with Sakura Glue Pen.

On the background I used wooden pattern paper. To add some interest I made score lines to it and added Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso Distress Inks directly to paper. I also sprinkled Super Thick Silver Embossing Powder on top and heated with a heat tool from underneath until powder melted. I also added drops of Wisteria Purple Nuvo Crystal Drops to the pattern paper.

Edged of the pattern paper was distressed with scissors. I took a white lace and colored it with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink. Lace was placed to peek out underneath the pattern paper.

If you like Build A Wreath Digital stamp set but prefer rubber stamps, I recommend to keep your eyes open on New Year 😉

Rustic Flowers – Snapdragons

Hello friends!

It’s Designer Jess here with a quick, fun card featuring Rustic Flowers-Snapdragons.

Supply List:

Rustic Flowers-Snapdragons Stamp Set #DIGI00-816P5

Jewel Drops – Key Lime 645N

Copper Embossing Powder – EP236

Tiger Orange Glitter – GM2003

Daisy Glitter – GM2019

Dogwood Rose Glitter – GM2021

Ballerina Glitter – GM2024

Nuvo Glue Pen – Small 202N

Tonic Die – Simply Screens – Clematis Vine – 1047e

Tear-ific Tape – 1/2″ SAT04

Foam Squares – 01613

This was such an easy card to put together!  To start, print out the gorgeous pre-colored image onto white cardstock.  Using the Nuvo Small Glue Pen, add your Glitters to the different flowers. I used Dogwood Rose, Ballerina, Tiger Orange and Daisy Glitters on my flowers.  Soooo pretty!

I really wanted to emphasize the copper of the gorgeous can holding the flowers. So, I grabbed my Copper Embossing Powder and added some detail using the Nuvo Small Pen – heat setting of course!  The results were just gorgeous!

Fussy cut out the entire image, then set aside while you go to work on the background.

To make the background, I took a piece of light green cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot with an embossing folder. I just loved the look of the Clematis Vine Tonic Die, so I die cut one out using a darker green cardstock.  I attached the embossed panel to the cardbase with 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape, then used the Small Glue Pen once again to adhere my die cut piece of cardstock.

Foam Squares were used to pop up the focal image to give more dimension. I printed off the sentiment onto white cardstock and used the glue pen one more time to add a pop of Copper Embossing Powder to the word “Cheer”.  A bit of ribbon was added and I used the Foam Squares again to adhere the sentiment.

See that nifty brush? It’s a set that’s now available in the SNS Shop that helps to pop out all the little pieces from intricate die cuts! I LOVE IT! It’s called the Sizzix Die Brush & Foam Set!

Finally, I had tons of fun with the NEW Jewel Drops in Key Lime!  I added a bunch of “dots” all over the background, then set aside to dry.  I LOVE the finished look!  Soooo sparkly!  They go on opaque and dry more clear. You HAVE to try them out sometime soon!

Thanks for popping by – and I just want to wish everyone a very Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas (since this is my last post before Christmas!)

Cheers!

Jess

May Your Day Bloom!

Hi there, Designer Shona here today to share with you my last December reveal card. Today I chose to work with the Rustic Flower Set 816.

So to begin with, I stamped the jug of flowers in Versamark on Kraft cardstock and then I heat embossed with Sienna. The image was colored  with Copics.

This was then die cut using the Spellbinders Style Nouille Decorative Element, which was sponged with Wild Honey Distress ink before removing the die. I then placed a piece of Super Adhesive Sheet in the center of the reddish purple textured cardstock and removed the backing, the die cut image was centered on the adhesive and then Mystical Mauve was applied to the remaining sticky areas.

I used the Nuvo Fine Tip Glue Pen to add some of the Mystical Mauve Glitter to the purple flowers in the jug.

This tied the jug in nicely with the sparkly border.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark on Kraft cardstock and then heat embossed with Mulberry, one of the detailed Tuscany colors. This was then die cut with Spellbinders Framed Tags One and was attached with Foam Squares, with one behind the hole which was then sprinkled with the Mystical Mauve Glitter.

I made up a flower from using various Prima flower parts, embossing a little Sienna powder to the larger petals. This was attached to the card front with a copper brad in the center.

Hope you’ve enjoyed my share today.

I’ll be back in 2017!

Big hugs,

Shona

Rustic Flowers

Good morning everyone, it’s Belinda here to share a project with you using the Rustic Flower stamp set.

To get my project started I needed to create the background panel.

To start I adhere a piece of tin foil to a piece of cardstock and distressed it with Stazon ink.  Next I inked the raised side of a embossing folder, placed the cardstock inside foil side up and ran it  through the Big Shot.  The piece was then covered with Golden Sparkle EP and heat set.  This really created a beautiful vintage background for my flower can.

Next I embossed a piece of cardstock with a Anne Griffin Border folder.  Using the Nuvo Large Glue Pen glue was placed on the raised areas and edges.  Let the glue dry slightly and then Nuvo Gilding Flakes were placed on top.  The excess with lightly brushed off.

Small drops of Copper Penny Crystal Drops were on placed the background flower centers, and Pale Gold Crystal Drops on the border strip flowers.

The flower can is from the digi stamp set.  I used the color version resized the image, printed and cut it out using the Cameo Silhouette.  Sparkle was added to the flowers using Nuvo Small Glue pen, Chameleon, Margarita, Bubblegum, Daisy, Orange Crush glitter.  Small drops of Pale Gold Crystal drops were added to the can and a small Pull Ribbon bow was added.

Thanks so much for stopping by hope you all have a wonderful Holiday Season!!

Build A Flower

Diane with you today to ‘brighten’ up your days with a pretty

and colorful bouquet using the new stamp set

Build A Flower.

If you saw my last post HERE then you might remember me

saying I would be using my ‘Nuance’ color sheets for my next post,

which is what I did.

The colors of Nuance used were:

Turquoise, Purple, and  Hot Pink

(By the way, there are 3 NEW colors of Nuance in the store,

you might want to take a peek)!

I stamped several flowers on the scrap pieces I had left from

my bunny card.

Then, carefully cut each one out.

(I ended up not using the yellow flower).

Once the flowers were cut, I used my

flower making tools (mat and stylus) to shape the petals

I cut both a Spellbinders Basic Circle (which I embossed with a decor dots EB folder),

and a Circle Delight die, which I placed under the basic circle…pretty isn’t it?

I die cut a Tutti Designs Stitched Heart, which I then embossed the sentiment

with Coffee (one of my favorites) embossing powder.

The leaves were stamped, colored with Copics, then coated with

Exhilarated Green glitter.

I finished the flowers by adding Black Ice glitter to each center and

Nuvo Crystal Crystal Glitter Drops,

Silver Moondust to the blue, Purple Rain to the purple

and Sherbert Shimmer to the pink flowers.

For the finishing touch,

a pretty pink bow was added.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Cherry Blossom Wreath {12.14.2016}

Hi from Designer Chris! Today’s card makes me so happy!! I used the new Build a Wreath digi stamp. Let’s check it out.
I sized the wreath I wanted (there are four wreath options in this incredible digi stamp set) and chose one of the many sentiments and sized it to go inside the wreath. That is one of the benefits of a digi stamp set, you can really manipulate them to any size you want! I also sized some of the cherry blossoms, leaves, and the bow, then printed them out twice. I fussy cut out the blossoms, leaves, and bow, and partial die cut out the wreath with a circle die, leaving the bow tails uncut. I fussy cut around the bow tails sticking out of the edge of the circle that was die cut, and fussy cut out other bow pieces to add dimension. Once I had everything cut out, I rolled on some Nuvo Glue Pen Large adhesive to the bow pieces, and sprinkled on some Collegiate Garnet glitter. I layered up the bow pieces with dimensional tape to give dimension. Here is a close up of the bow. Look how beautiful that Collegiate Garnet glitter is! Be still my heart!!
For my background, I ran some pink cardstock through my Cuttlebug in a leaf embossing folder. I then lightly swept my Versamark Ink Pad over the raised portions of the cardstock, and sprinkled on some Pink Lady embossing powder, and heat set it. This gave the background additional texture, dimension, and some extra sparkle and pizazz 🙂
I adhered blossoms to the wreath, and added more dimension by adding foam dimensionals. I rolled on some Nuvo Glue Pen Fine adhesive to the wreath, flowers, and leaves, and sprinkled on two colors on the wreath: Peruvian Lily, and Rose Gold. I also added on Bubble Gum to the blossoms and Luau Green to the leaves. Here is a photo showing the wreath, cherry blossoms, and leaves.
Here is another shot of the card that shows some of the dimension. I have a thing for pink and for cherry blossoms, so this Build a Wreath digi stamp set was the perfect set to use for a pink fix! I love how versatile it is and how much you can do with it.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Bloom with Happiness

Here is a card in bright Summer colors to light up those long and dark winter nights. I used brand new Rustic Flower – Snapdragons 816 stamp set.

On the focal image I did some paper piecing. First I covered piece of white cardstock with Large Nuvo Glue Pen. While it was drying I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink to another piece of white cardstock. I colored flowers with Promarkers and added some Margarita Velvet Glitter with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen to some leaves.  Then I returned back to the first piece of cardstock. On top of the sticky glue (Nuvo Glue Pen dries sticky) I added Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. After excess flakes was rubbed away, I stamped the can part of the image with JetBlack StazOn ink on top. This was fussy cut out and glued to the colored image.

Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Coffee Embossing Powder. For the background I used white cardstock which was inked with Dandelion Memento and Spun Sugar Distress inks.

I used dies from Creative Expressions Trellis Edger set to add some interest to the background. Inked background is popped up with foam tape. Layer underneath is covered with 3/4″ Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. I made a glittered ribbon with 1/4″ Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Daisy Velvet Glitter.  Here is a tutorial how to make this kind of pretty ribbons.
To finish off the lattice I added some White Nuvo Crystal Drops to middle of each cross point.

To the edges of the matting layers I added 1/4″ Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Margarita Velvet Glitter.  Some Green Apple Nuvo Crystal Drops was also added to the card.

This is it – my bright summer card.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Rustic Flower – Snapdragons 816;
Glitters: Margarita (GM2032), Daisy (GM2019);
Embossing Powders: Coffee (EP459);
Inks: StazOn (JetBlack), Memento (Tuxedo Black, Dandelion), Distress Inks (Spun Sugar), Versamark;

Spring Bunny

Hello friends!

It’s Designer Jess here today with another fun Easter card!

Supply List:

This card was super fun to make and came together quite quickly. There is a lot of embossing, so let’s get going!

 Card Instructions

To start with, I did my embossing on the outside edges of both the pink layer, green layer and cardbase. What I did was take the main image stamp and used the bottom portion (the flowers, eggs and grass) and used it to stamp all along the edges of the panels!  I used Versamark Ink and then sprinkled on my Embossing Powders!  I used Rosa Embossing Powder on the pink layer and cardbase. Pineapple Embossing Powder was used on the green layer.
To make the doily, I covered the entire white doily with Versamark Ink and sprinkled on Princess Rose Embossing Powder, heat setting of course! 🙂

Once I was done with all those parts, I set those pieces aside and started on my main image.  I stamped the image onto white cardstock using Versamark Ink, sprinkled on Black Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.  For coloring, I grabbed my Watercolor Pencils, an aquapainter and went to work!  I am still an amateur with coloring, but I think I’m improving 🙂

The image was fussy cut out after it was dry (TIP: Use a heat gun to speed up drying time!).  I covered the entire image in Versamark Ink, sprinkled on Clear Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. It created such a gorgeous shine!

The sentiment was stamped onto some white cardstock using Versamark Ink. I embossed with Black Detail Embossing powder. I actually separated the sentiment in half and did a swash of watercolor on the background too.

 Putting It All Together

To start assembly, I used the Large Nuvo Glue Pen to adhere the embossed doily to the pink layer. The pink layer was attached to the green layer using 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape.I popped the fussy cut focal image up with some Foam Squares.

I also created a fun “grass” border simply by cutting a 1″ strip of green cardstock randomly and bending them a bit. Fun, right?  I realized after that I should have grabbed my Grassy Green Flocking to add to the dimension – next time! The border was also attached using 1/4″ Tear-ific Tape. I tied a bit of bakers twine around the panel for added fun.

The entire panel was adhered to the card base using 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape.  I used a mini-stapler to attach a bit of frayed bakers twine behind the sentiments and popped them ofn using Foam Squares.

I hope you enjoy this card!  Don’t forget to grab your fave SNS products from the shop!

Until next time,

Jess
