It’s Designer Jess here with a quick, fun card featuring Rustic Flowers-Snapdragons.
This was such an easy card to put together! To start, print out the gorgeous pre-colored image onto white cardstock. Using the Nuvo Small Glue Pen, add your Glitters to the different flowers. I used Dogwood Rose, Ballerina, Tiger Orange and Daisy Glitters on my flowers. Soooo pretty!
I really wanted to emphasize the copper of the gorgeous can holding the flowers. So, I grabbed my Copper Embossing Powder and added some detail using the Nuvo Small Pen – heat setting of course! The results were just gorgeous!
Fussy cut out the entire image, then set aside while you go to work on the background.
To make the background, I took a piece of light green cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot with an embossing folder. I just loved the look of the Clematis Vine Tonic Die, so I die cut one out using a darker green cardstock. I attached the embossed panel to the cardbase with 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape, then used the Small Glue Pen once again to adhere my die cut piece of cardstock.
Foam Squares were used to pop up the focal image to give more dimension. I printed off the sentiment onto white cardstock and used the glue pen one more time to add a pop of Copper Embossing Powder to the word “Cheer”. A bit of ribbon was added and I used the Foam Squares again to adhere the sentiment.
Finally, I had tons of fun with the NEW Jewel Drops in Key Lime! I added a bunch of “dots” all over the background, then set aside to dry. I LOVE the finished look! Soooo sparkly! They go on opaque and dry more clear. You HAVE to try them out sometime soon!
Thanks for popping by – and I just want to wish everyone a very Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas (since this is my last post before Christmas!)
It’s Designer Jess here with a fun Christmas Card!
This time, I’m featuring the Digital Stamp Set – Grumpy Goose!
Jasper Blue Glitter – GM2012
This was actually quite an easy card to create! I started by printing off the colored Digital Image onto glossy white cardstock and trimming to my desired size. I used the Small Glue Pen to add Jasper Blue & Blue Haze Glitter to his hat, Daisy Glitter to his beak, Tiger Orange Glitter to his feet and Evening Glow Glitter to the bells. So much fun!
I used the Glue Pen to draw the “light strand” around Mr. Grumpy Goose, sprinkled on Antiquities Embossing Powder and heat set. Then I went to work creating the lights! I used the Nuvo Crystal Drops in Apple Green, Ruby Slippers and Dazzling Blue to make the lights (just squeezing a small amount out each time). I love the effect! I added a few to “frame” the image as well as on the sentiment and set them aside to dry.
While the Crystal Drops were drying, I created by background. I adhered 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape around the edge of my cardbase, removed the adhesive and sprinkled on Fire Engine Red Glitter. I burnished it well with my finger tool.
I took the piece of Gold Mirror Cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot, using a Diamond Patterned Embossing Folder. Once all the Crystal Drops were dry, I adhered all the layers using 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape. To finish off the sentiment, I traced the word “naughty” using the Small Glue Pen and sprinkled on Fire Engine Red Glitter.
I sure had fun making this card! See you next time! 🙂
SO this was super fun for me to make! I started out by printing the colored Digital images onto white cardstock. I used the Wreath, the Snowman and the sentiment.
I fussy cut them all out and then started having fun with my Nuvo Small Glue Pen & Glitter! To add the glitter, I simply drew on the area I wanted it to be using the Glue Pen and then sprinkled on the glitter. Brush off the excess and voila!
I added Sugar Plum to the wreath, Mr.Snowflake’s scarf and the wreath he is holding. I used Tiger Orange on his carrot nose and Luau Green on his hat! Blue Haze added a touch of glitter to his gloves & pipe smoke and Sassy Silver on his bells and the sentiment. How easy is that?
Next, I added the Moonstone Glimmer paste to the base of Mr. Snowflake. I used a small spoon to dab the paste on and make it piled up like snow. Such a fun product! I also added a row of it to the top of the piece of patterned paper where I put the icicles. I set it aside to dry (took about an hour).
I assembled my page layout using various pieces of patterned paper. I added 2 rows of 1/4″ Tearific Tape across the length of once piece of paper and used Luau Green to add some extra sparkle. Then I tied the Pull Ribbon around the piece of patterned paper. All of the layers were adhered to the base using 1/4″ Tear-ific Tape. I should mention that this is an 8×8 Layout! 🙂
To finish off the page, I added tons of dots with the Nuvo Crystal Drops! I used the Morning Dew and Crushed Grape to add tons of dimension and fun. I even “drew” on some icicles! What do you think?
I hope you head over to the shop to pick up this fun digital stamp! Until next time,
Today I’m sharing a card I made featuring the Autumn Girlfriends Stamp Set #810. I used the Digital Version – it prints off a pre-colored image – making it so easy to make your cards!
Here is the SNS Supply List:
To enhance the lovely ladies on the card, I added some Elephant Gray Flocking to their hair, some Christmas Fire Embossing Powder to the red sweater and some Ballerina Microfine Glitter to the pink sweater (all adhered with the amazing Nuvo Small Glue Pen). The sentiment was printed off onto white cardstock and then trimmed to size. I covered the entire piece of paper with Versamark Ink, then sprinkled on the Clear Detail Embossing Powder, heat setting. Finally, I carefully sprinkled on some Orange Surprise Glitter and the re-heated the Embossing powder to adhere the glitter!
Finally, I added some embellishment dots using Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ripened Pumpkin and Dandelion Yellow.
I hope you enjoy this card and are inspired to make some wonderful fall creations!
See you next time!
It’s Designer Jess here with another gorgeous creation for SparkleNSprinkle. We had sooo many amazing stamps to choose from this month. This super fun slider card was created using Elephant Christmas, some of the amazing new Nuvo Gilding Flakes AND Glimmer Paste!
Let’s get started!
Elephant Christmas Stamp Set #802
Versamark Ink – VM001
Step 1 – Stamp and color your images.
I stamped the elephant, the tree and the stockings onto white cardstock, then colored with my TwinTouch Markers. I then fussy cut everything out into parts (the stamp is a solid image – so I thought this was a great way to change up the image! 🙂 I did my stamping using Onyx Black VersaFine Ink .
Step 2 – Add some SPARKLE!
For this tree, I added the NEW Moonstone Glimmer Paste to the bottom of the tree and the elephant’s Santa Hat using a small spoon. It was dry in about an hour or so (leave over night for complete curing). I added some of the Sparkling Snow Semi-Transparent Glitter & Inference Glitter to the ornaments using the Small Nuvo Glue Pen. I also used Rhubarb Crumble Nuvo Crystal Drops on some of the ornaments and the stocking decoration. Puffy liquid applique was applied to the stocking tops.
Step 3 – Background
To create my card front background, I ran the Nuvo Large Glue Pen around the outside edge and let dry. Then I got to play with my Silver Bullion Gilding Flakes! Oh what fun! You simply sprinkle all over the adhesive, rub on gently and brush away the excess. P.S. Don’ sneeze when you have the lid open! Flakes everywhere! LOL
Step 4 – create your slider panel.
I used 2 pieces of white cardstock (cut the same size). I punched out the “slider” area using a window punch. Then I applied foam adhesive all around the edges of the panel and right along where I wanted my slider to be. I took a penny and applied a small piece of the foam on the back of the penny. Placing it in the slider hole, flip over the panel, then adhered the little elephant image on the front side of the penny. Remove all the foam tape backing and add your second piece of white cardstock (this closes the entire slider back).
Step 5 – Decorate the front!
All I did was simply place my trimmed images on the card front to make my scene. I wanted the elephant to look like it was hanging an ornament on the tree 🙂 I did a little swirl embellishing using the Small Nuvo Glue Pen and the Inference Gold Glitter. The sentiment actually came from the July Release stamp called “The Christmas Skate“. It was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Christmas Fire Embossing Powder. I popped it up with a bit of Foam tape 🙂 I adhered the fussy cut images with 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape and then added the whole white panel to the Green Card Front.
I hope you enjoy my cute Slider Card and are inspired to go and create your own!
Have a great weekend (Happy Thanksgiving if you are in Canada!)
It’s Designer Jess here today with a SPOOKY card created for SparkleNSprinkle, featuring GLOW IN THE DARK Embossing Powder (yes, you read that right!) and the Halloween Cat Stamp Set.
Scalloped Square Die
Ok – let’s get started!
Make your cardbase! I used a standard A2 Card (4.25×5.5″). Set aside.
Make your background! I took piece of 4X5/12″ cardstock and covered with Veramark Ink. Sprinkle on your Super Thick Black Embossing Powder and heat set from underneath (this is so you don’t blow all that chunky embossing powder off the top of the card with your heat tool!). Now, this is the tricky, but FUN part! While the embossing powder is still warm, quickly STAMP your sentiment into the warm embossing powder, creating and impression. You can reheat small areas at a time if it sets up, but you must stamp quickly and firmly. I also inked up the stamp with Versamark Ink prior to stamping it into the embossing powder so that it does not stick to the stamp.
To make my cat image, I stamped it onto a piece of black cardstock using Versamark Ink and sprinkled on the Glow in the Dark Embossing Powder, then heat settting. I just love this Embossing Powder. Fussy cut out your image and set aside.
I placed 2 strips of 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape directly onto my cardbase – one and the top and one at the bottom. To the top strip, I added some Black Magic Embossing Powder (heat set of course!) and to the bottom I added some super fun Silver Leaf Glitter Tinsel. I lightly pressed it into the adhesive to make sure it was all attached. On top of this, I adhered my embossed background paper using 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape.
Final step – assemble your card and add your accents. I cut a scalloped square of patterned paper out using my Big Shot. I popped up the Cat image using Foam Squares and then attached it to the background once again using the Foam Squares (can you tell I love these little bitty squares? I use them every week! LOL)
Finally, it was time to have fun with my Nuvo Crystal Drops! I used the Ripened Pumpkin and Ebony Black drops to add accents around the edges of the patterned paper. I created “eyes” in the corners of my background paper simply by make a base dot of the Ripened Pumpkin and dotting it with the Ebony Black. I just LOVE how you can layer these fun drops! They are so much fun to play with – you just HAVE to get your hands on some of them!
P.S. It’s very hard to photography Glow in the Dark!
I hope you enjoy this spooky fun Halloween card – I sure had fun making it!
Until next time,
It’s Designer Jess here with a new creation to share with you. I grabbed my “Puppy Girl” stamp and went to work!
Step 1: Make your Background!
I used a piece of Sticker Paper to create my background! I took my Dreamweaver Stencil and rubbed the Hawaiian Soap over the back in order to prevent the stencil from sticking to the adhesive on the sticker paper and makes it easy to remove! I placed the sicker paper onto the soaped up side of the sticker paper and rubbed lightly to make it stick. Then, I took my Golden Wheat, Dogwood Rose and Denim Glitters and sprinkled randomly over the exposed adhesive. I used my finger tool to burnish the glitter in. I gently peeled off the sticker paper from the stencil and then sprinkled on Waterfall glitter, burnishing well. This fills in all the gaps that the stencil covered! Isn’t it pretty?
Step 2: Create your Image!
I started by taking a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and stamping the Puppy Girl using Versafine Ink (I LOVE LOVE LOVE this new ink pad!). I took my aquapainter and used some of the Nuance HOT PINK watercoolor powder to give it a bright pink wash over the entire image. I tried to be very random – not a precise watercolor job!
Once my watercoloring was dry (you can use your heat tool to speed up the process), I trimmed the image down to the size I wanted. I used my Nuvo Fine Glue Pen to add some accent glitters. I love how precise you can be with this pen. I used the same 3 glitters (Dogwood Rose, Denim and Golden Wheat).
Step 3: Put it together and final touches
I stamped the sentiment using Versamark and sprinkled on some of the Antiquities Embossing Powder, heat setting. I cut the sentiment apart to better fit the card. I popped them up on Foam Squares (along with my image). I made a fun Glitter Ribbon using 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape and the Denim Glitter. It’s a super simple technique! Simple take a piece of your Tear-ific Tape and apply your glitter to both sides. I rolled it into a ribbon and tied it around the base. All layers were adhered using 1/2″Tear-ific Tape. I finished off with some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Crushed Grape.
I hope you enjoy this creation and can’t wait to show you my next card!
Until next time,
Hello crafty peeps!
Designer Jess here today to share a new card that I created using the
New Release Stamp set “Flower Cart”. This stamp set is so versatile & fun! Let’s go!
SparkleNSprinkle Supply List:
Nuvo Embellishment Mousse
Step 1 – Image & Sentiment
Print out your fully colored digital image and sentiment onto white cardstock. I love that some of the digital images are colored – saves me some time 😉 To add a little more sparkle and shine, I used the Quicky Glue Pen to add Fairytale Lavender Glitter to some of the flowers and the trim of the umbrella
I die cut the image out using my oval dies & Big Shot Machine, then applied Peony Pink Nuvo Embellishment Mousse around the edges of the image using my finger tool. The sentiment was fussy cut out and then all I did was trace the words using my Quicky Glue Pen, sprinkled on Princess Rose Embossing Powder and heat set.
Step 2 – Background
I cut a piece of 4×5.25″ purple cardstock. I then inked up an embossing folder with Versamark Ink and ran the paper through my Big Shot. What this does is create and embossed AND inked surface! All I did next was sprinkle on my Princess Rose Embossing Powder to the inked surface and heat set, creating a gorgeous, sparkly, embossed background piece.
I took a white doily and completely covered it using Spring Green Embellishement Mousse. I just used my finger tool to burnish it in. I just LOVE how shiny and fun the mousse is to work with! You’ve gotta try it!
Step 3 – Let’s Put it Together!
I adhered my doily to the background using Brushable Glue, then added my main image using 1/4″ Tearific Tape. The sentiment was popped up using Foam Squares. I took the main flower and added some random smears of Brushable Glue, then sprinkled on Fairytale Lavender Glitter for some sparkle. I set it aside to dry.
I made some “Candy Dots” using the Crushed Grape Nuvo Crystal drops on the background and also in the middle of another flower. I also set this aside to dry (I let it sit overnight). Once everything was good and dry, I adhered the flowers with Foam Squares & Tear-ific Tape. The entire card front was then mounted using 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape onto card base that I made from purple cardstock.
VOILA! A gorgeous Flower Cart Thank You card!
I hope you enjoyed this card. See ya next time!
