Fruit Note

Anne here to share with you a card I create using the new digi-only stamp set that debuted in September.  I think it’s a very versatile set as it has multiple sentiments included in the set, or you can leave that area blank and add your own message.

The digi image was colored with Copic markers and touches of glitter was added to the wheat stalks (Golden Wheat) and the grapes (Orchid). I also die cut a couple wheat stalks from Tonic Studios (September Harvest die set) and more Golden Wheat velvet glitter was adhered to the inside layer.

1/2″ Tear-ific Tape was added underneath the ribbon and covered with Golden Wheat velvet glitter.

Turkey Dishes and Holiday Wishes

Turkey Dish 801

Anne here and today I have a Thanksgiving card for you.  I used the digi version of Turkey Dish.

Turkey Dish 801The image was colored with Copic markers and various glitters were then added for lots of sparkle.  Autumn Medley glitter was added to the autumn leaf in her hair as well as to the highlighted words on the sentiments.  The glitter ribbon, which combines 1/8″, 1/4″, and 1/2″ Tear-ific Tape is also covered with Autumn Medley glitter.

Margarita velvet glitter was added to the green leaves on her hair decoration.  Rose Gold glitter accentuates her necklace as well as the buckles on her shoes and Sonic Silver velvet glitter creates a nice silver platter for this golden turkey to rest on.

Spellbinders Labels Twenty Eight were used to create the mats and Stampendous dies (Build A Pop-Up die set) were used for the sentiments.  The edges of all the white cardstock was given a bit of color using Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink.  The Distress Embossing technique was applied to the outside edge of the focal die cut using Sparkle embossing powder and Spiced Marmalade.

Stella – Call Me Witch

Stella-Call Me Witch 800

Anne here with another fun halloween card for you.  I used the digi version of Stella – Call Me Witch for both the image and the sentiment.  After coloring the image with Copic markers, I added Blue Raven glitter to her buckles on the hat as well as her shoes and to her cape.  Glossy Accents was added to the eye glasses.

Stella-Call Me Witch 800

I die cut the image using a Spellbinders die (Timeless Rectangles).  Then I proceeded to cut off the outside edges of the die cut using my deckle edge cutter.  It’s important that you cut the top piece off first and then the other three sides.  Otherwise you won’t get all the details.  Once all four sides were cut off, I added the top piece back on (like a puzzle piece) and adhered it from the back.  I wanted to use this piece as it reminded me of a bat.  I then used some Brushable Glue on this top piece and covered it with Eggplant glitter.

Stella-Call Me Witch 800

I outlined the sentiment, which comes with the set, with Dimensional Glue and added more Eggplant glitter to the edges.  The bats are from an older Spellbinders die (Nesting Bats) and Blue Raven glitter was added to both of these for more sparkle.

As a finishing touch, I added a bow in Halloween colors and I tried something new on it.  I took a Sakura Glue pen and ran it down the center purple stripe on the ribbon and covered it with more Eggplant glitter.  I wasn’t sure if it would adhere to the ribbon, but I’m happy to report that it did.  Happy discovery :-).

Puppy Girl

Puppy Girl 793

Anne here and for today’s card, I used the digi version of the new Puppy Girl stamp set just released. I printed the image twice. After coloring the image with Copic markers, I fussy cut out the puppy and the bow in the girl’s hair so that I could pop dot them on top of the main image for more dimension. Pan Pastels were used for the background color. The sentiment is part of the stamp set and I added a bit of color to the open spaces in the letters to emphasize the words “person” and “dog”.

Elephant Gray flock was added to the whiskers Puppy Girl 793on the pup and Neon Flamingo glitter was added to all the bows and the knee patch.

Puppy Girl 793

Seaspray glitter was used to decorate her top shirt as well as the frame around the image. Dimensional foam was also added to the frame. The frame is a Simon Says Stamp die cut (Stitched Rectangles).

The die cut bow on the bottom of the frame is by Poppy Stamps (Bow and String) and was covered with Neon Flamingo glitter. Once the glue was dry on this bow, I added Nuvo Crystal Drops (Ebony Black) to replicate the bows in the image.

Stella – Happy Meds

Stella Happy Meds 796

Anne here and today I’m sharing a card created with one of the new stamp sets revealed this month: Stella – Happy Meds.  This image should definitely make you smile. 🙂

After stamping the image and coloring it with Copic markers, I added Dimensional Glue and Sunny Daze glitter to various letters. I also outlined other words with a red Multi-liner to make them pop a bit more. The pink pills and Stella’s glasses were covered with Glossy Accents for a real shine.

Stella - Happy Meds1

To create the mat, I used the lacy background technique with Sticker Paper, lace, and Sunny Daze and Blue Haze glitters. This is such an easy and fun technique and with so many variations, depending on the style of lace and the colors of glitter you use. For some reason, this one reminds me of a leopard print, even though the colors are different.

For embellishments, I created my own glitter ribbon using 1/2″ Tear-ific tape and Blue Haze glitter and added a few Nuvo Crystal Drops (Navy Blue) as accents. Crystal Drops also accent the corners of my lacy background. The background matting behind the focal point was dry embossed with a Crafters Companion embossing folder (Hessian) for a bit of texture.

Eskimo Kisses

Eskimo Kisses 788

Anne here with today’s post and I’m showcasing the newly released stamp set called Eskimo Kisses.

After stamping the image onto white cardstock and coloring it with Copic markers, I die cut the rectangle using a Simon Says Stamp die (Stitched Rectangles). The patterned cardstock mat behind the focal panel was die cut using a Sue Wilson Designs die (Noble Dies – Double Pierced Rectangles – Set B).

Eskimo Kisses2 - SNS

Dimensional Glue was added to her ear muffs, coat collar and sleeve, and to the top of her boots. Dimensional glue was also added to the pom-pom on the snowman’s hat. Then Swan Song tinsel glitter was applied over the dimensional glue. Once that was dry, I highlighted various areas of the snowman and the snow with a Sakura glue pen and covered the glue with Olaf White glitter.

Falling Snow was added to the snowy scene by using a stencil (Simon Says Stamp – Falling Snow) and Dreamweaver White Embossing Paste.  I layered the embossing paste on fairly thick, and after the stencil was removed, I covered the wet embossing paste with more Olaf White glitter.

Eskimo Kisses1 - SNS

For the matting, I added more snow by using a Memory Box stencil (Winter-Scattered Flakes), embossing paste, and Olaf White glitter.  You can really see the dimension of the falling snow as well as the tinsel glitter in the photo to the left.

A ribbon imprinted with snowy words is the finishing touch.

Be sure to visit often to see what the rest of the team has created to help inspire you.
