Dry Wall Mesh Tape Technique
Instructions by Mary Munkel
Materials:
- Dry Wall Mesh Tape
- Versa Mark
- Any color embossing powder
- Cut a piece of drywall plastic mesh tape .
- With the sticky side of the mesh tape down, attach it to the cardstock, keeping some excess on both ends.
- Fold and adhere the excess mesh on the two short edges to the back of the cardstock.
- Using the VersaMark or pigment inkpad, liberally apply the ink to the top of the mesh tape; press quite hard so the ink seeps down into the little squares in the mesh.
- Apply embossing powder on the inked tape, tap off the excess and melt the powder with a heat gun.
- Wait until the piece cools and then repeat the procedure so it has two coats of melted embossing powder.
**At this point, you should not see the color of the mesh tape or the cardstock. If you can, you don't have enough ink on your inkpad.
